#1zombiegleemaxJun 17, 2004 1:37:01 | Hi all, Athas.org DS3.5 rules say few about armors. Where can i find info on armors : - composition, availability, description, availibity of magical armors or psionic armors, rarity, etc... Can a 5th level Druid have a breastplate ? It seems they can as it is a medium armor without metal. Do psionic armors and weapons function as their magic counterpart, ie enhanced attack roll and damage or do they have other qualities ? Sorry these are newbie questions but i never played yet and i want to create a 5th level Pterran Druid. If you guys have advise on my character creation, tell me. For example what can and should I buy with my 9000 Cp ? Strength 14 Dexterity 14 Constitution 17 Intelligence 13 Wisdom 20 Charisma 13 Feats So far i've take the Natural Spell Feat wich seems appropraite and a must for a Druid, specially for a 5th or + one. I've taken Endurance as Athas seems to be a really tough world. Skills Total Score Concentration (Con) 8 Handle Animal (Cha) 9 Handle Animal Companion 13 Heal (Wis) 5 Hide (Dex) 7 Knowledge Nature (Int) 10 Move Silently (Dex) 3 Ride (Dex) 9 Spot (Wis) 5 Survival 14 Animal Companion Heavy Crodlu with Combat Riding training plus Track as Bonus Trick Weapons Thanak Short Spears Sling Armor Breasplate Heavy wooden shield Is that OK ? And what spells do you advise me to 'pray' ? |

I'll mail you a copy if you're interested The recent Dragon magazine presentation of the DS rules also had a nice section on armour with some cool pictures. I think that the author of that article was also drawing from the A&EG as some of the entries look very similar to those I ended up with, heh heh. |

As i never played DS yet and don't know the world much , i'm quite interested by picturing how different form other worlds such as FR it is. I would also be interestd in having the number of the Dragon magasine you speak of. Thanks beforehand :D |

Members of the DS community differ as to the relative merits of the athas.org version, the Dragon/Dungeon version and the original 2e version. The clever kank takes what he wants from each and lives in the best of all possible worlds The best source for general campaign flavour and related details, however, are still the old 2e boxed sets (and sourcebooks). You can buy them as pdf from www.svgames.com for around $5. Cheap and reliable - worth a look. |
