#1zombiegleemaxJun 17, 2004 9:33:18 | I thought this might be fun. List all or a few of your favorite PC's names. Kudo's to anyone not ashamed to list the cheesiest names they ever created for a character. I'll kick this off with a few of my own. Valkaun Dain: CG Cruskii Barbarian; AKA Nightshadow. Rando Wiggins: Halfling Thief from Elmshire; AKA Fritter. Vincent LeCavalier: Paladin Cavalier named after a hockey player. Hercules: The first character I ever played & yes he wore a Lion Skin and carried a club. This was 1984 so cut me ome slack. I'm sure I'll think of more later. I'm too embarrassed to continue for right now. |
#2zombiegleemaxJun 17, 2004 10:47:25 | I too have named a character after a hockey player: Jaromir Jagr... |
#3max_writerJun 17, 2004 11:01:58 | Sydney of the Broken Bottle (Sydney Lopper) - Furyondian mage who settled in Duchy Urnst. His preferred weapon was a broken wine bottle. Vatt Pastard - large priest of St. Cuthbert in Living Greyhawk. Scottish brogue and kilt. From highlands of Veluna. Osburt Biggles - a 2nd ed halfling charlatan. Falstaff (Nym Bardolph) - Sorcerer from Geoff. The character I presently play in a Greyhawk game. Terran Darklighter - Rebel pilot in the d20 Star Wars game I'm involved in. A distant cousin of Biggs Darklighter. Britton Worthing - Swashbuckler from a homemade campaign. Trelaine Underwood - Evil spy/thief from a thief campaign. Huckleberry Stout - Halfling from Sterich, sucked into Ravenloft for a short few games and then became an NPC later. A fighter/thief cartographer. |
#4scoti_garbidisJun 17, 2004 11:02:45 | Witchet - CN Gnome Fighter with Pyromaniac Tendencies 1994 Mable - CG Minotaur Fighter Chilido - Earth Elemental Peck, can't remember class (pronounced Toledo) Gibious - CG Gnome Fighter (nephew of Witchet) Scoti Garbidis - CG Human Rogue Charlatan (name taken from a "B" Horror Movie called Survival 101, I suggest you try and find it and pick it up.) Lol Tolhurst - CN Human Rogue Charlatan (name is the drummer of the rock band "The Cure." This was also somewhat a ghost of the previous character except crazier.) Tarsus - CG Minotaur Fighter Elwin Toddering - Human LG priest (inspired by the priest/monk in Dragonheart) recently he was slain by a vampire and has come back as a LE Vampire Spawn. The rest of the party doesn't know yet though, I wonder how that will go. Needle Job - Human CG Ranger/Treasure Hunter (last name is pronounced like the Job in the Bible, not like the Job you work at every day.) Red Beard of Giant Slayers - CG Dwarf Fighter Tibben Offlock a.k.a. Locke - CG Human Ranger/Fighter (Bow Specialist) this is my current character and I am very happy with his development. Just from looking at this list, It looks like i might want to try something other than chaotic. NPC'S OX - CG Goblin Fighter "Panhandle" Puck Stalwart a.k.a. "Panhandle" - N Halfling Rogue Stumpy - CG Inn Keeper who has both his legs missing below the knee. He lost them in a farming accident but swears up and down that he lost them in a great battle against evil. The story gets bigger and bigger everytime. |

#9zombiegleemaxJun 18, 2004 9:08:08 | I thought of a few funny ones my friends have played: Ratik Bonk: Dwarven fighter, named after a Hockey Player named Radek Bonk. Errol Flynn: Swashbuckler, we teased him so unmercifully he quit playing him. Dwakar: Dwarven fighter, Drakkar cologne the inspiration for the name. A few more of mine: Celedrin Degol: Drow Fighter/Mage/Thief I made all five characters for the "Five Shall Be One" but I couldn't interest anyone in playing it (because I insisted they use the characters I made) so I begged my DM to let me do it anyway and I ran them all myself: Vorlag Konig: Barbarian Jarl, Later King of the Schnaii through much treachery and scheming during the GH Wars. Thormod Konig: Skald, cousin to Vorlag Geirrod Konig: Ranger, Brother to Thormod Orec Konig: Druid, Vorlag's great Uncle Bjorn Bjornsson: Thief, Vorlag's thrall since they were children Owen ???; AKA Jassir Bin Asiji: Cleric of Trithereon, I got bored with Trithereon pretty quickly mainly because the group had a bit of a CN (CE) bent that I wasn't expecting. He changed (with the DM's grudging permission and a hurdle or two) to worshipping Wee Jas (Asiji). The group was mainly from Eastern Oerik but later changed base of operations to Ket and adopted Baklunish names and identities. Orin Shadowhand: Fighter/Thief, Lost a hand in a fight with Bullywugs and took to wearing a Prosthesis. |

#11ArgonJun 21, 2004 22:43:24 | First character: Argon, Trollborn Barbarian since 1st edition Fisdelandral, gnome illusionist 1st edition Haguth, Minotaur fighter DL campaign 1st edition Grolap, goblin theif 2nd edition Marco Wildfeet, Halfing bard 2nd edition Thorak IronForge, dwarf fighter 2nd edition Caranthes Solivian, human priest of Kelemvor 2E Malcantor Mindswipe, Duegar psionicist 2E Gatian Locath, human wild mage 2E Malkar Sudrey, human priest of Wastri 2E I only got to play two of the characters listed past third level. Argon made it to 15th level and was retired after slaying a Great wyrm Red dragon by himself because most of his party members got killed or knocked unconscious in the first round of combat. While Caranthes made it to 9th level and yes it was an FR campaign but it was run with alot less magic then what is used in the published version of the game. Fisdelandral was given to another player because for the most part I was always dming. Biggest upset was when my third level psionicist beat the 10th level mage the dm put up against us. Every one tried to charge the mage and he struck them down. So the mage said to me you aren't even going to fight me too bad I can't leave loose ends. So I used the psionic power to animate object and choked the mage to death with his own robe. Then I severed his head and kept it as a trophy when I retired him to the underdark. |
