In the 30th anniversary Dungeon magazine, there was a lot of mention of the Lost City of the Elders. Was there ever a module about this place? or even any other mention anywhere of it? It sounds like a cool city/plane to run a quest in.

From Rob's annotated bibliography on Canonfire!:

Lost City of the Elders, 1972. Unpublished. Setting for Garden of the Plantmaster; relates to WG5, Mordenkainen's Fantastic Adventure. The Lost City of the Elders was first adventured in by EGG (Mordenkainen and company), and was the city which later would contain the structure housing the Garden of the Plantmaster. EGG's PCs arrived there via a magical waterfall, saw the tuskless elephant statues outside its gates, etc. Some of the latter was illustrated for WG5 to make the connection clear between the two modules. This was my first attempt at creating an adventure, and thus it is one of the oldest surviving adventures in D&D history besides EGG's and D. L. Arneson's creations.

The article's at http://www.canonfire.com/htmlnew/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=125 if you'd like to read the whole thing.

Rob and I were talking last night about getting LCotE into print.....

Is it still possible given Garden of the Plantmaster has been published for the KoK setting?

Yes Mortepierre, since Rob still owns the LCotE name and intellectual property.

Sorry I missed this the first time around; I just found it while looking for our old FAQ discussions....

No problem. The very fact that you were looking reinforces my opinion you should lead the FAQ team ;)

Good links as always grodog.

What caught my eye on that canonfire article was towards the bottom though...not to pick any scabs but...

The Wreck of Robilar, 1994. Unpublished. Outdoor/Dungeon adventure following up on the exploits of Robilar and his ongoing quest since the sack of his castle. Extensive notes and maps. I have a great fondness for this character and would like someday to do something for TSR in keeping with his original spirit as a neutral fighter caught up in the shackles of evil.

Is/was this the basis for all the Robilar stuff that RJK has been discussing recently?

Yep, Rob's been wanting to revisit Robilar's history in the setting for quite some time.
