#1jon_oracle_of_athasJun 27, 2004 6:57:53 | I won't be available for comments or questions the next three weeks. I'm going to Tunisia and I'll be spending my time doing other things than searching for regular internet connection just so I can post regularly on these boards. You may all elect to be offended if you so desire. ;) |
#2jon_oracle_of_athasJun 27, 2004 7:19:17 | Anticipating the reactions of everyone's favorite silly frog - Grummore - and his ensuing driveling, I'm going to give you a couple of news updates. 1) The Spells and Powers Bureau is working on updating the psionics chapter of DS3.5 to reflect the changes in the Expanded Psionics Handbook. This is actually more work than it sounds like. 2) The Monster Bureau has nearly completed the massive Terrors of Athas review and upgrade. They're currently working on summoning lists for different spellcasters. 3) The Epic Bureau is working on rules for advanced beings. Expect this to take a while, since this requires a number of systems integrated into each other, such as psionic enchantments to name one. 4) Whispers of the Storm and Tyrian Conspiracy are currently being updated from 3.0 to 3.5. It's mostly stat block updates, though other elements, such as the prestige classes, will most probably see some evolution as well. |
#3zombiegleemaxJun 27, 2004 16:31:58 | It will be a fantastic trip jon, ... ohh wait, i'm going with him... Sahara here i come.. To feel and see what athas really feels like :D I'll watch Jon, so he don't do anything silly.. like making fun out of facil hairs :D |
#4zombiegleemaxJun 27, 2004 17:10:09 | I hope you understand Jon that we're all going to be expecting a full and highly detailed account of your trip ;) Bring plenty of paper with you to note things like vegetation, native wildlife, weather conditions, etc. (assuming that its a little more desert than tropical where your going). Anyhow, have a good trip, and try not to kill natives for their water while your there, making claims about trying to 'stay in character' to anyone watching. |
#5jon_oracle_of_athasJun 28, 2004 3:19:29 | What about nomadic raiders? Can I kill those? Hmm. Or I could kill Harkov, and sell his girlfriend to local traders. |
#6jon_oracle_of_athasJun 28, 2004 3:21:10 | I'll make sure we get some more desert pictures. A buddy of mine who served in Iraq took some great desert photos for me. I'll post them on my site. |
#7zombiegleemaxJun 29, 2004 15:43:38 | Have a nice trip Jon, but please don't wear your templar outfit and call everybody "filthy kank-spawn". It will make you live longer... :D Do photos man! Do photos! Illustrations are always needed! |
#8jon_oracle_of_athasJun 29, 2004 15:51:26 | I can't wear my templar outfit in a foreign citystate and harass the locals. You don't need to tell me. ;) |
#9zombiegleemaxJun 29, 2004 15:59:46 | Hide your templar badge well! :D By the way I made a lot photo myself on my trip to Argentina, some of them was made in mind with Athas. (Not the ones made at the Iguazu waterfalls...) Can you host them on your webpage? |
#10jon_oracle_of_athasJun 29, 2004 17:44:44 | Sure, if they're not too big (file size). Send the pics to jon@athas.org in a zip file, and I'll see what I can do once I get back. I'm meeting the rest of the party at the trainstation in 7 hours. Bye, guys! |
#11nytcrawlrJun 29, 2004 17:46:59 | Enjoy. |
