#1soulmageJun 28, 2004 15:04:29 | Can anybody tell me what other books Lord Soth plays a role in? I've read: Legends Chronicles Knight of the Black Rose & the sequel One DL short story that featured him. . . Where can I find more Soth?! |
#2rath_the_rangerJun 28, 2004 15:17:52 | The only obvious one's I can think of right now are... Lord Soth (Dragonlance Warriors, Vol. 6) and the War of Souls Trilogy (can't remember if it's Vol 2 or 3 though, it's where Mina goes to visit him at Dargaard Keep) Edit: Oops, are we allowed to talk about books, if not sorry. How about those stats in the Beastiary of Krynn. hehehe |
#3soulmageJun 28, 2004 15:28:41 | Yeah. . . how 'bout 'em. Ummmm. . . read Lord Soth. Forgot to mention it. So which War of Souls books is he in then? |
#4zombiegleemaxJun 29, 2004 9:59:45 | I highly recommend the novella "True Knight" by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman from THE CATACLYSM anthology (Tales II). ** Jamie Originally posted by Soulmage |
#5zombiegleemaxJun 29, 2004 10:14:29 | He was also in the first two II Tales stories written by Weis and Hickman. |
#6zombiegleemaxJun 29, 2004 10:15:57 | Though I don't know how this will be taken by the rest of the Dragonlance fan-base, don't forget his two Ravenloft books, Knight of the Black Rose and Specter of the Black Rose. There was also a short story about him in Tales of Ravenloft. |
#7zombiegleemaxJun 29, 2004 12:31:24 | What happened in the Tales from Ravenloft story? |
#8zombiegleemaxJun 29, 2004 13:55:02 | Lord Soth used the ownership of a gambling house in Sithicus to determine who would lead his army against the wild elves. The ownership of the house was determined by playing the D&D equivalent of Craps. |

#10soulmageJun 29, 2004 15:07:39 | Where does he appear in the War of Souls books? I also heard something about him being in Vanished Moon (is that a war of souls book?). Is that true? How much is he actually in these? |
#11brimstoneJun 29, 2004 15:12:50 | Originally posted by Soulmage Dragons of a Vanished Moon is book 3 of the War of Souls trilogy. Soth is in it for one chapter. |
#12zombiegleemaxJun 29, 2004 16:30:06 | However Brim....that one chapter is perhaps one of the most significant turns of Soth's story....so...even though its one chapter, that one chapter is fairly important to Soth fans |
#13shnikJun 29, 2004 17:09:46 | Sure, it's important, but also a bit disappointing... I was hoping for more. |
#14soulmageJun 30, 2004 8:23:46 | Can I read the third book and pick up enough of the story to catch up, or will I be hopelessly lost without reading the first two books? |
#15brimstoneJun 30, 2004 9:36:05 | You will be hopelessly lost without the first two...and a lot of people are still lost without Dragons of a New Age trilogy and other early Age of Mortals books. But I think you'd be fine with just the War of Souls books. |
#16zombiegleemaxJun 30, 2004 10:10:48 | At least Soth's tragedy was laid to rest. |
