#1DragonhelmJun 30, 2004 9:30:55 | I wanted to announce that the Dragonlance Nexus has opened up a new section on the site - a Gaming Utilities page! This page includes moon tracking charts for both Ansalon and Taladas, a moon tracking program, and character sheets courtesy of Ema's Character Sheets. Enjoy! |
#2zombiegleemaxJun 30, 2004 11:18:41 | are there any downloadable adventures in this site? |
#3zombiegleemaxJun 30, 2004 11:33:18 | Arent the character sheets kind of long? Are they updated for spells in DLCS and the Age of Mortals? |
#4brimstoneJun 30, 2004 12:26:49 | Only because they have the spell lists, too. Personally, I prefer Richard's character sheets, but with the Ema's spell lists. Speaking of which...any chance we can get you to put together a character sheet spell list like Ema's for your schools and spheres of sorcery and mysticism, Trampas? :D |
#5zombiegleemaxJun 30, 2004 12:29:36 | There are different options for the sheets? |
#6brimstoneJun 30, 2004 12:37:31 | Richard Connery's character sheets are at www.tobrilmagazine.com. They're part of the Issue #7 ZIPed download package. |
#7DragonhelmJun 30, 2004 12:38:19 | Double post. Mods, please delete. |
#8zombiegleemaxJun 30, 2004 12:38:55 | OIC, then one doesnt have to print out the whole sheet in their entirety. |
#9zombiegleemaxJun 30, 2004 12:59:17 | Umm...No. ~~~ |
#10DragonhelmJun 30, 2004 13:00:44 | Originally posted by Amaron Blackthorn Basically, Ema's sheets are designed so that you can pick and choose the info you want. No way would you print out the entire thing - just the sheets you need for your character. The spell sheets are real handy, as they give you a quick reference to what your spells can do. So if I'm playing a sorcerer, I'd print out the first two pages to get the essentials, then I'd print out the spell sheets for sorcerers and wizards that have the spells for the level that I can cast. Tobin, that’s a good idea, although I’m not particularly talented in regards to creating character sheets. Ema doesn’t take requests, either. I’ll ask Richard and see if I can bribe, er…., persuade him to work it up. No promises, but we’ll see. |
#11zombiegleemaxJul 01, 2004 10:49:58 | Do the spell sheets have the spells available in Krynn? Like Palins fire, etc? |
#12DragonhelmJul 01, 2004 11:01:31 | Originally posted by Amaron Blackthorn I believe they have the DLCS spells, although I don't think they have the Age of Mortals spells. There's also space for you to add other spells, and a blank spell sheet. |
#13zombiegleemaxJul 01, 2004 11:23:04 | Then they must be pretty coolness! |
#14hatrelJul 01, 2004 15:23:26 | Ema's Sheets DO have the AoM spells. I am using it in a campaign that I am playing in. Very Nice...:D |
#15DragonhelmJul 01, 2004 16:09:27 | Originally posted by Hatrel I wasn't quite sure if that was the case or not. I think Ema is missing the AoM feats on there. I've pretty much given up on any official sheets now. Ema provides the cleanest and easiest to use sheets I've ever seen. They're also the prettiest. |
#16NivedJul 01, 2004 16:10:03 | I've been using Ema's sheets for a few years now, they are all, simply put, sweet. I wouldn't be surprised to see a new update on the Dragonlance sheet after Towers comes out. Ema seems to be a completist. |
#17cam_banksJul 01, 2004 16:13:47 | I maintain all of my player's character sheets in a Word document of my own design, rather than contending with piles of character sheets covered in pencil and eraser marks, but it's good to see that the option to use a sheet like Ema's is a hassle-free enterprise! Cheers, Cam |
#18DragonhelmJul 01, 2004 16:36:21 | Originally posted by Cam Banks See, that's what I like about Ema's sheets. My writing is pretty sloppy, and my best friend's is chicken scratch. With Ema's sheets, you can just check off most of what you want, which makes a character sheet a lot cleaner. True, there are more sheets to contend with now, but I'd rather have multiple clean sheets than one really big messy one. I still remember how bad my old Shadowrun character sheet looked. For those who know the system, picture a sheet where the character had one rank in every skill... |
#19zombiegleemaxJul 02, 2004 10:04:48 | Hooray for this Ema person! |
#20zombiegleemaxJul 02, 2004 19:09:34 | My only complaint with Ema's excellent char pages is his resort to using imbedded fonts. This prevents me from editing the char sheet blocks directly in Acrobat 6 for an electronic version and "printed text" version of the sheet. Clone the fonts and provide a downloadable verson of same without embedding the fonts. This would be the ideal solution. (and no, there is no copyright in a font, just in a font's name) |
#21zombiegleemaxJul 03, 2004 6:36:49 | I wonder what ever happened to the guy who designed that moon tracking program. It's a nice tool, but it's got the Nuitari and Lunitari cycles mixed up. |
#22zombiegleemaxJul 03, 2004 7:26:09 | I intend to keep updating the Tobril character sheet. Tobin, if you could clarify what you'd like addressed I'd be happy to accomodate it. You mean having spell sheets with a short description, etc. for each class? |
#23theredrobedwizardJul 03, 2004 7:33:32 | Speaking of the moon tracking program, I always thought that Solinari was the largest of the moons, then Lunitari, then Nuitari. That's how it's shown on the Night of the Eye anyway. Whyfor is Lunitari shown as dozens of times larger on the moon tracking program? -TRRW |
#24DragonhelmJul 03, 2004 8:46:14 | Originally posted by Richard Connery Guys, definitely check out the Tobril sheet. It's an excellent resource as well. Richard, I'll shoot you an e-mail off-list in a bit. Basically, I think Tobin wants to take my Paths of Magic article, and create a spell sheet ala Ema's based on it. I don't know if this is something we can work on together or not. |
#25zombiegleemaxJul 03, 2004 14:18:22 | The conversions done by Cam Banks of the 1st two DL modules are great resources. Is he planning on doing the rest? |
#26cam_banksJul 03, 2004 17:56:56 | Originally posted by Amaron Blackthorn I'll ask him. ...he says no, he's busy working on other stuff for Sovereign Press, and apologizes. Cheers, Cam |
#27zombiegleemaxJul 03, 2004 18:13:58 | Well....thats disheartening......You couldnt use the pull you have with Cam to convince him to do it? ;) |
#28DragonhelmJul 03, 2004 18:22:47 | Originally posted by Serena DarkMyst Cam's beside himself on this one. |
#29brimstoneJul 06, 2004 9:33:20 | Originally posted by Richard Connery Actually...I'm quite happy with it so far. The only thing I use of Ema's is what you don't have...about 20 pages of spells. heh heh We did character creation last Friday (took about 5 hours...of course that was with one set of books, 4 newbies, and a little bit too much beer...) :D Anyway, I haven't noticed anything confusing or that I'd change on what you have so far. Oh wait...I did notice one thing...what do you do for your armor list on your sheets? Originally posted by Richard Connery Yeah...with plenty of extra slots at the end for additional spells (like from KoD, ToHS, HOotS, and any future SP products with new spells). That's what I use of Ema's sheets, her (is it a "he"...someone said "his" earlier) spell lists that are put together for each class with a short description...oh, that's what you said, isn't it. LOL! Yeah...just like that! |
#30zombiegleemaxJul 06, 2004 10:26:46 | Any chance that Soverign will re-release these modules for 3.5? |
