I have 25 dollars to spend on whatever I choose. I have choosen to spend this on Planescape .pdfs.

I need to know what the experts think are the most worthwhile. So what should I get?

Which PS products do you already own? Which PDFs are available?

Planewalker's Handbook would be a good starting point. Otherwise, any PS product is a good buy IMO.

I have Planescape Campaign Setting already and nothing else. Sorry, should have remembered that first time around.

If you're looking for a campaign in Sigil (something I thoroughly recommend) you should look to obtain In The Cage, The Factol's Manifesto, Uncaged Faces of Sigil (despite its terribly inaccurate description of a certain humble shopkeeper ... ahem) and, more controversially, Faction War - the module/campaign that changed the face of Sigil as we know/knew it.

If you don't want a Sigil-centric campaign (yes, it IS possible) you could also buy some of the box sets- the planes of law, chaos, and conflict.

One of the best items in the whole line (INMO) is Hellbound: The Blood War. Of course, if you don't want to focus on the Blood War, it's pretty useless.

Just my two sentinels.....error....cents. ;)

And then there's A Guide to the Inner Planes, which is worth it's virtual weight in gold if you want to take a trip to the Inner Planes...if not, then it's not really useful (;

I would recommend getting Well of Worlds, the Eternal Boundary, the Factols manifesto, In the Cage, & the planewalkers handbook.

Why?
Well Well of Worlds has good adventures from low to high. Eternal Boundary is low leveled and really fun (My PC's were running through the Mortuary being chased by Deaders!)

The Factol's Manifesto, In the Cage, & the Planewalkers Handbooks are equally good for both player's and DM's.

I think it depends on what you want.

The best value would definitely be the boxed sets. Planes of Law, Planes of Chaos, Planes of Conflict, and Hellbound. Hellbound has lots of info on the Bloodwar, which of course includes more info on the fiends in general, like their history and tactics and stuff. If you're not that interested in fiends or the Bloodwar though, it isn't that useful. The other boxes include lots of info on the various different specific Outer Planes, so if you're planning on going to Celestia or Baator or something, or just have taken a fancy to certain planes, these sets will probably be worth your while. They also have nice maps of the general layout of each plane, though in the PDF versions you'll have to do a lot of copy/paste work and rearanging to be able to view them as a whole, since they got scanned one panel at a time.

If you want more info on Sigil then In the Cage and Uncaged would be the best books to get. I skipped In the Cage because the reviews said it didn't add too much to the info in the boxed set, but I have Uncaged, and it mentions many specific, noteable people in Sigil. It's pretty good, unless you're the kind of person that doesn't like using pre-generated NPCs.

There's the Planewalker's Handbook, which I would definitely recommend. It expands a bit on everything. Very nice.

The Inner Planes would be good if you're interested in going to them. I personally didn't care much for it, but I also don't like D&Ds versions of the Inner Planes that much anyway. They are much too friendly, and not alien enough (seems like every corner of the multiverse has been infested with humans and elves sometimes).

There's Faces of Evil, which is a book entirely composed of in-character information on the different fiendish races. It goes over their general psychology, breeding, promotions, society, physiology, and other things. It's a good read, but also not very useful if you aren't interested in fiends.

Aside from those all I can think of are the adventure modules. Well of Worlds is probably the best one to start with, since it has a variety of adventures for a variety of different party levels. Dead Gods is also pretty good. It is probably referenced on the baords more than any other adventure, what with it dealing with Orcus and all.

Thanks for your advice everyone. I saved more on my amazon purchases than I thought I would and so I wound up buying 6 old planescape items from RPGnow.

For the interested, these items were:
Planes of Conflict
Hellbound
Factol's Manifesto
Uncaged: Faces of Sigil
Planeswalker's Handbook
Faction War
