#1brimstoneJul 06, 2004 10:23:19 | This is the last new thread today, I promise. I was wondering if people are using a different list of Wizard familiars for Dragonlance (for 1st level wizards) than what's available in the PHB. (also...isn't that a new addition for wizards in 3.5e?) Anyway...it seems to be a very limited list...it doesn't even have a dog on it. I know a dog doesn't seem very "witch-like," but I don't see any reason that a dog can't be a familiar, do you? |

#3cam_banksJul 06, 2004 11:41:16 | Originally posted by Brimstone Wizards and sorcerers had familiars in 3.0 as well, but they revised them a little for 3.5 to make them more consistent with each other. Cheers, Cam |

#5woolyJul 06, 2004 18:17:38 | I allow small dogs, large dogs, monkeys and even horses, but I use the Complete Warrior model of Improved Familiar with a BA requirement for the dogs and horses. |
#6zombiegleemaxJul 06, 2004 18:26:12 | I have a half-afflicted kender getting a squirrel. That is, she's half afflcited kender, and half true kender. The squirrel is going to be a representation of her self, and as such, is going to be frigtened of things. This kender is not aware that given a certain scary thing, she will feel fear - she is currently happily going along with a +4 bonus to fear checks. When she *does* fail though... I like foreshadowing. |
