If a Knight of the Crown had 4 levels of fighter, then went up 10 levels in Crown and got Crown of Knighthood, then 3 levels in Sword, then 3 levels in Rose, would Divine Grace and Crown of Knighthood stack?

I'm assuming they would because the Crown ability does say its a morale bonus to the saving throws. Also this wouldnt happen until 20th level anyways.

Now that would also raise the question...what would happen if you had a Paladin that went up in the Crown class. Yes I know that some people dont think paladins belong in Dragonlance, and some ppl might not want them to be able to become Knights of Solamnia either because maybe its "redundant". But...if it was allowed.. do you think they would stack? The Knight wouldnt get the second bonus till at least 14th level but still. Again the Crown ability is stated as a morale bonus..where the paladin and Rose ability is unnamed.

Any comments welcomed.

All of these bonuses would stack together. Divine grace probably shouldn't stack with itself, but there aren't many classes which provide it as a class feature. Having this benefit twice means taking advantage of an ability bonus twice, which isn't usually an accepted part of D&D rules design. I would rule that it increases the bonus by +1 if it's acquired again, just to make it a little more evenly balanced.

The knight of the Sword is more or less a variant paladin as a PrC, and thus taking levels in both it and paladin isn't always the most favorable option. You're better off with fighter and/or noble.

Now see, I don't see the Knight of the Sword prestige class as really even close to a paladin. Personally, it looks almost exactly the same as a cleric. This is what bothers me so much about the class. The only real difference is the Sword can Smite Evil and eventually gain the Soul of Knighthood ability. Heck, they even have a d8 for HD. It looks like the designers just didnt feel like filling out this class. I understand that the Sword is supposed to be more cleric-like...but if someone wanted a pure cleric they would just play cleric.

I really like the Crown and Rose classes, but I find the Sword lacking. I changed the HD of Sword to d10 and also changed the Rose's spell progression to half because this way people who wanted to play a more spellcasting knight would stay in the Sword class.

I like the idea of adding a +1 to the saving throws, I've seent hats omewhere before. I would let the Crown and Rose abilties stack because that would take a long time (20th) and I dont see it as so bad. I have a player thinking of making a Knight of Solamnia if something were to happen to his current character, so I'm trying tof igure this all out now.
