Wild Sorcery in Alternate Krynn

I basically envision two sources of Sorcery in this Alternate Krynn of mine. The first type is the sorcery possessed by everyone, wild sorcery, though when the world was reborn some were infused with its energies more than others. This sorcery I plan to create using a skill and feat system. I'm afraid I will be just using effect-based magic based on elemental attacks and creation. The reasons for this are threefold.

1) The traditional Saga schools have terms which were D&D terms. Therefore, I wish to avoid confusion. However, there is no Hydromancy, Pyromancy, Geomancy, or Aeromancy schools in D&D so they fit in nicely.

2) Since this is a skill and feat based magic system which involves casting spells and their effects on the fly, it would be too complicated to go into some of the less tangible and esoteric schools with skill checks.

3) It is the raw power behind creation and the universe. Therefore I feel it should have a more elemental feel.

Certainly this sorcery is loathed by Dalamar who sees this as playing with very dangerous fire when every country bumpkin (like me) who "feels it out" can use it. He advocates strict measures insuring that its use is banned, and its more powerful adherents destroyed. Palin sees this as a form of genocide, and while he agrees it is dangerous, instead advocates education and training for wild sorcery instead. This issue has created a rift in the Order of High Sorcery across all three orders of Robes. I figure with any new development (as wild sorcery certainly is) it would be quite divisive an issue.

The second type of sorcery is that of Dragon Sorcery, which was practiced by Galan Dracos. This involves magic similar to that which creates dragonspawn, which is bonding human and draconic blood. This is how you can account for PHB sorcerers, though they will be required to take feats to reflect their increasing draconic appearance. With dragons missing for a 1000 years, the existance of dragon sorcery faded away until the present time.

Unlike the wild sorcerers these magic users are considered renegades by everyone.

I don't follow Dragon Sorcery. Your alternate world has "High Sorcery" and "Wild Sorcery (ambient magic)", all arcane forms of magic. What third catagory did you create to fit Dragon Sorcery? Does it remain arcane? Is it elemental like Wild Magic? I'm assuming it requires dragon blood to use.

That's a great idea, but...

...what category of magic is dragon magic and how would you explain it? Maybe make it a mix of sorcery (of the draconic kind) and sorcery (of the mortal kind)? Or does actual dragon magic even enter the equation and it's just 'different' sorcery (of the mortal kind)?

Basically it involves the dragonspawning process in order to gain the dragon's innate spellcasting ability. Sometimes the ritual is performed by a dragon, sometimes by a wizard or cleric who slays a dragon.

Of course, this is perhaps too much effort just to keep the PHB sorcerer around.
