Jul 12, 2004 4:53:57 According to Ivid the Undying, Mordenkainen is a Cranden - though basically no one except Bigby and persumably some senior members of the House of Cranden (perhaps the Eldritch Lords of the Aerdi in Rel Deven) know this.

So persumably he's at least one part Oeridian Aerdi.
IIRC it's mention that he first came to prominence in the Wild Coast - but that's not to say he didn't move there from the Great Kingdom.

In the absence of any other info - I'd say he was born somewhere in the Cranden Lands of the GK (somewhere in or around Rel Deven) and later moved to Greyhawk and the Wild Coast.
