My project is a long run so don’t expect to see results in the near months or so. As some of you may recall, I have posted a thread in which I was announcing my desire to write a fictional story about the Rhul-thaun way of life (Jihun-nish’s in particular) I had put aside the project because:
1—I was waiting for a few official books.
2—I realised I had to read a lot to refresh my memory.
3—I wasn’t sure of the plot in my story (to many choices: that’s the problem when you possess excessive imagination.(Well… almost)
4—Frankly, I had a problem figuring what would be the *ritual* of the Rhul-thaun which is a big part of their lifestyle (with-out them, we wouldn’t be able to call them Rhul-thauns) Also at what *rate* should I incorporate those said rituals since in the WotJC book it says that they have a ritual for almost every action/daily routine/event. And I don’t want to harass the bookworm with to many of them. That said, I think I’ve got the answer to my dilemma.
5—last but not least, since I want my story as official as can be, I was kind of waiting for you guys/gals or rather what info your projects could provide me. I know the majority of your projects are not official but if the Draksun community agrees on them well to us it would make it so. Wouldn’t it?
My project will have nothing to do with the Tyr region so there‘s almost no way it would conflict with other project’s development in that region
That said, I would need info on New Kurn and the actual status of Oronis(not the stats but what he looks like and how he behaves. (Strangely, my story begins there.)
I may send PMs to some of you asking information on certain aspect/details of your project so when both our projects comes to life they’ll seem official because one wont contradict the other (remember RafoaDK novel?)

Anyway, although I agree, the title may not be quite as original as I want it to be, the first book will be titled: The Awakening.

P.S. The name of the main character is subject to change because I am so use to be on this board under that pseudonym that it seem strange to call him jihun-nish. The second reason his because the name jihun-nish mean something in Rhul-thaun ( Distant Male) and it doesnt fit with the character as much as it use to. Also, the name jihun-nish was directly taken from the name generator of WotJC accessory. I'll probably invent one with a new meaning to better sute him.
Your Rhul-thaun project will probably touch my project. I will start to show what I have done so far. This way peoples will be able to give me a hand on some things and we might be able to put some things together with your project and mine.

I didnt touched anything about the historical informations. Although, I would be very interested in what you might develop or write, since that could give me hint to work on the pterrans. AND I could give my ideas (or approval) on certains facts we could develop on the pterran/rhul-taun relationship.

Now! I've been reading your Pterran history timeline and came up with a few question/suggestion.
When you wrote that somewhere in time the Rhul-thaun and the Pteran traded, at first, it made we wince because I always thought with good enough reason being cannon material
) that the Rhul-... were secluding themselves from the rest of the world waiting for the return of .... Thes-onell (something similar anyway.) Which means to my thinking: don’t intervene in the lives of others if you want to be kept secret. Of course the Rhul-... not being stupid, probably guess there were other intelligent races (not from the Pristine Tower for they had no way of knowing but there were the Pterran and the Kreens the non-bright but still dangerous creatures climbing from below them. They might even remember their long lost friends.... the Dolphins. Not forgetting the Reggelids. So although they may remember they were the first intelligent race that lived on Athas. They surely wondered what else awaited them if they dared venture outside their dominion.Of course, following your idea, if the nature-benders created the said race as slaves, they surely remember their existence unless they are thought to be extinct. So what I think happened is that while roaming the hinterlands, the Pterran discovered the Rhul- and for some reason, decided to make peace and trade with them. Being true to their Oath (to Thes-onell) the Rhul- never left the Cliffs out of their site when trading with the Pterran. I would go as far as to say they never traded any life-shaped/anything. Instead they trade natural resources from the jagged Cliffs and maybe even from the Swamp below. Both races being nature-protectors and clerical oriented may even have had traded spells, and elemental related/what ever. That would explain how come Sielba never had a hint of the existence of the Halfling when he sieged the Pterran capital.
On other side view, if you look on page58 of WotJC you’ll see a drawing of a Pterran mounted on a Pterax attacking two Rhul-climbers. It may be an isolated case but not having the Dragon Crown supplement, I always kept the feeling Pterran and Rhul- were like enemies maybe for territory matters. This said I wouldn’t mind considering two type of Pterran same as Rhul-Halfling are different from the Ringing mountain’s
