I decided as a way to make the game more interesting, this Kyton would begin to follow the PC in attempts to fight him again (in a fair even match of course) because he had never lost a battle before...he has no real other intrests than fighting and being the strongest, and instantly takes to this PC as a rival...my questions are twofold: What alignment would this make the fellow lean twords? and what sort of background might lead a kyton (normally designated the 'enforcers') to enter in to this kind of life pursuit? Also, what kind of class would be advisable for a Kyton to advance as? |

The emphasis on a fair fight makes me lean away from evil, but the fact that it is a goal for himself rather than the common good makes me lean away from good. I'd say Lawful evil with a big L and a little e (evil mainly since he is a kyton). If you want to give the guy some other less than savory quirks you could easily justify him as Evil with a big E. Class-wise I think that fighter is the way to go. If the kyton has the requisite 13 intelligence, he can get Combat Expertise, Improved Trip, and Improved Disarm to make for some really nasty use of any dancing chains. Weapon focus (chain) is a no-brainer, but I'd hold off on Weapon Specialization (chain) until after getting CE, IT, and ID. Hmmm…WF for Fighter 1, CE for 8 racial HD+1 level, IT at fighter 2, ID for 8HD+4 levels, WS for bonus feat at level 4. |

"I'll tell you the rules, Troll...you don't bring silver against me, I don't bring fire against you..." I really like the alignment insight for him you gave me, now I just need to think of a backstory for him...^_^ That, and some sort of travel outfit for him. as planar handbook pointed out, Kyton who go adventuring tend to wear clothes under their chains. Interesting event in their first fight: The troll had a pair of manacles (with the loose 3 links of chain etc) that once per day he can link them together (magical, just when he wills it and holds em together) then rip them apart to gain the effects of a Bull's Strength spell as cast by a 6th level caster (CL of the person who made the item). Through sheer dumb luck, the kyton was only able to detain him for 1 round before he made will saves for both lengths of chain to break its control. The fans really loved the fight ^_^ |
