#1thegreatmonkeyJul 28, 2004 18:39:58 | Can someone give me a little information on Eldarrich and Kurn. Nothing in any of my books has any information on them. What books are they in? And can someone give me a short discription of the cities. |

#3dracochapelJul 28, 2004 19:17:32 | They were first mentioned in the Revised Campaign Setting, in the Wanderers Journal. Both cities are fairly isolated north of the tablelands, Eldarrich is near the sea of silt and ruled by an SK called Daskinor. Kurn is near a valley and ruled by an SK called Oronis. Eldarrich is a prison city, very dark and gloomy since Daskinor is crazy and paranoid and thinks everyone is out to get him. This feeling has bled down to all the citizens and templars, so its really mistrustful. Only a merchant house from Draj called Azeth(?) has access to the city, otherwise its a closed society. Kurn looks just like a normal SK-ruled city, but the people are happier and the city is becoming fairly deserted. This is because there is another city hidden away called New Kurn. Oronis redeemed himself and is now an Avangion and has made New Kurn as a city for himself and his people, but keeps Kurn as a decoy so the other SK's dont realise he's become a good guy. |

#6zombiegleemaxJul 30, 2004 15:06:27 | the only thing that springs to mind immediately is the description of eldaarich where all the houses and building have glass roofs, and the city is arranged in a circle around the central palace, with a huge spire, and from the top of his tower Daskinor can look into all the houses and watch what his people are doing, to make sure they aren't plotting against him or doing anything sketchy. i think that was the most amazing bit about eldaarich, actually. don't forget that eldaarich includes all the client towns along those islands in the sea of silt, and the fact of those immense bridges illustrates the immense architechtural ability of the eldaarish. in other words, their city should be amazingly impressive, while at the same time damn creepy and disturbing. as for kurn, I would imagine that it is a city built into a canyon, and it blocks off all access to the hidden vale where new kurn resides. nick |
#7NefalJul 31, 2004 17:38:39 | Originally posted by Cap'n Nick Hi! this description seems very similar to the panopticon of J. Bentham... there's a lot of map of this "house" on the net... a little search would give some of ideas for a map! I hope it helps! Nefal |

I would strongly suggest finding a way to getahold of Brax, or... umm.... whoever else is on the Lost Cities project that might be able to fill in the details for you more. I know both were being modelled after specific cultures, which in turn could help with the design of the cities. |
