Jul 29, 2004 1:06:24 What happened with this domain? In the dark of the moon adventure you kill gregar zolnik and vorostokov is supposed to return in the material plane. Also there is supposed ot eb an eternal winter and a big lack of food.
So what is the official ending for the dark of the moon adventure?

Jul 29, 2004 8:17:25 Hmm, Vorostokov was formed in 731, if I remember correctly. Dark of the Moon was printed before the domain joined with Sanguinia to make the frozen cluster (both in Domains of Dread 2E and in RPH & RDMG 3E), so if the domain is still there 'officially' in present game time, then the supposition is that the adventurers in DotM failed. I'm trying to recall when DotM occured according to Mangrum's Timeline, but my old computer crashed & I lost that file. Does anyone have a copy they can send me at [email]CatmanJim@hotmail.com[/email] ? Thanks!

EDIT: Thanks anyway, I found it hosted on another site. According to Mangrum, the events of Dark of the Moon take place sometime after 754, so maybe there is no established / official ending yet.....

Jul 29, 2004 20:47:18 Generally the "official" policy is that the ending most interesting to the campaign is used when multiple endings are offered and that the "adventurers failed" in most (but not all) of the earlier mods.

Vorostokov is alive and well in the Frozen Cluster. The people are still on the verge of starving as far as I know.

If you plan to run the module you'll have to decide what you want to do with the domain if your PCs suceed. You could have Vorrostokov return to the prime; you could have the land engulfed by Sanguinia; or you could have the curse of Darklord-ship pass to another indivual, perhaps a bastard child of Zolnik?

Aug 02, 2004 13:06:39 Well, I'm currently running a kinda bastard off shoot of this adventure... Though I've made Alexi a far more important NPC in it, and plan on it moving back to the prime, or him taking over from Gregor at the end of the adventure... Further more I've made Mikhail's bride to be Anna pregnant as well.
