#1zombiegleemaxAug 07, 2004 13:48:16 | Hello! I have decided to run the old Dragonlance Campaign and I wos wondering, are there any details (tricks and stuff) that I should be aware of? Do you have any advice... I do have some experience in running campaigns, but not with DL. I thank you for your advice. lp Iltar |

In addition, DL5 and DL11 aren't adventure modules: DL5 is a sourcebook, and DL11 is a wargame. I've made a start on converting the series but only went as far as DL3. DL1 and DL2 are 3.0 ready and found on www.dl3e.com although they can probably be adapted to 3.5 without much fuss. Cheers, Cam |

#5zombiegleemaxAug 08, 2004 11:23:36 | There are probably a bunch or trademarks and stuff to go through first, though it would be nice to see them. However i can personally do thta myself, I would rather put all the DL team to work on something new rather than old.... |

You'll have to prepare for the sesion anyway, writein down few stats and monsters prom PHB and DMG is not that mush work. lp Iltar p.s. Did any of you found any problems running it? |
#7wolffenjugend_dupAug 08, 2004 19:53:47 | I think you'd be quite surprised to see how much work it actually is. If it was easy, it would have been done by now. Some of the encounters would need to be drastically revised to address new CRs. But my point was more along the lines of making money. I think re-releasing the classics would bring in a boatload as I imagine most DL fans would buy them. Make them a special edition and sales could go through the roof. It's also a lot easier to update the classics than to create that many new modules in their entirety. Finally, all the new fans who read the DL novels may want to play the originals and telling them to buy the old ones (if they can find them) and then update them all to 3E isn't very good business. I know several people who read the Chronicles and, when they found out about D&D, they wanted to play them. A perfect opportunity... |
