#1baron_the_curseAug 17, 2004 2:56:56 | Has anyone here created any Ansalon fiefdom using the rules found in Fields of Blood? I just got the book a week ago and I am very please with it. Once I finish reading the book and I’m certain I’ve master the rules I plan to create Dragonlance fiefdoms (realms) and stats for their armies. But if anyone else have done so please share, I'll be curious to compare notes. |

Supposedly War of the Lance will have mass combat rules or something, I thought. I might just be smoking crack. But as far as Fields of Blood goes...I can't help ya. Sorry. |
#5iltharanosAug 19, 2004 19:16:11 | I just picked up the book, and on the surface it reminds me alot of the realm rules in Birthright, especially since there's a section on realm magic. Of course, the rules are much more in depth than the Birthright rules ... I actually could have used this book a few months back, as at that time in my campaign there were 2 PCs that acquired a tract of land and were interested in developing it further. Now that I've got a book it may be interesting to do a realm writeup for this little swath of territory and see if I can't get my PCs interested in some nation building. |
#6zombiegleemaxAug 19, 2004 21:23:22 | I have an easy answer to this. What I have done is I have in a fashion, converted 5th edition Warhammer to meet my DragonLance needs. From there, I have been able to field army's complete with core, special, and unique units and have a sense of history to each unit as well. In a nutshell, this is what I have. On the left is the DragonLance Army and unit, and on it's right, the Warhammer equivelant. Knights of Solamnia=Bretonnia ***Knights of the Rose= Grail Knights ***Knights of the Sword= Questing Knights ***Knights of the Crown= Knights of the Realm Gnomes= I stole parts from both the EMPIRE and DWARFS to suit the Gnomes. Gnomes can work for any country that can hire them, but normally for Ergoth and Bretonnia ***Gnome Cannon= Dogs of War Field Cannon ***Catapult (does not need a conversion) ***Repeater Bolt Thrower=RBT from Dragonlance (one of the few contraptions that actually works well!!") ***Death Rocket (from the Chaos Dwarf Book) ***Flame Cannon (from dwarfs) ***Hellblaster Volley Gun (empire) ***Organ Gun (dwarfs) ***War Wagon (empire) some more out there, don't feel like drawing them out right now Qualienesti Elfs= Some parts from the High Elfs and Wood Elfs and Dark Elfs ***Wildrunners= Silver Helms more to come latter. |
