On John Mangrum's Ravenloft timeline he has the Neither man nor Beast module listed as taking place in the year of 749. I find that sinceHowling in the Night makes such a good follow-up to the Neither Man nor Beast module that it would be better for said module to be placed directly before the events in Howling in the Night which takes place in the year 743.

Does anyone see any problems with me mixing the timeline events up like this ?

Care to explain why? I confess I don't quite see how solving a Mordentish nobleman's curse makes such a good follow-up to exploring the new "turned-into-an-island" Markovia

Just remember to adjust how long Markovia has been in the see and any references to the age of saliors and the like. It would have bee 2-3 years after the Grand Conjunction instead of almost a decade.

Other than that no imediate problems leap out at me...

The time period can be easily adjusted and I can use Mordentshire as the seaport from which The Sunset Empires was launched. The PCs can easily return there, in whatever vessel they use to leave the isle , after escaping Markovia.

I blew off the official timeline with nary a thought when it came to running my own campaign. 'Nuff said. Whatever works for you is the right way to go.

Other than linking the two locations, I still don't see why the second module makes such a great follow-up.

Nor is it neccessary for you to see why it makes such a great follow-up beyond what I have already revealed to you(Concerning the timeline which is the primary subject this thread deals with.); just know that it works great for my campaign.

So have I, to an extent. Believe me the official timeline is not a straitjacket when it comes to my campaign designs.
