#1undercoverAug 21, 2004 9:25:52 | Ok guys and gals, need your help. I've spent 10 hours in the last couple days preparing tomorrow's game, and the TODO list still has one important aspect left: travelling from Hardby to the middle of Lortmil mountains. Can you give me a hand here? The set up: group has 7 players, 1 at 5th level, 4 at 6th and 2 at 7th. Most of them (5) are dwarves. Four of them are now lords of a small feud near Hardby. They are at Hardby for their vassalage cerimony, have been attacked by assassins on the road due to their recent negotiations. Researching those negotiations they'll find a clue that leads them to the ruined town of Nalrak in Lortmils, which has a passage to the underdark and is controlled by a werewolf lord. I'll play this werewolf as smart as possible, to really give them a challenge, but they need to gain a couple levels before that or it'll be a massacre. So, how would you make this trip into an interesting adventure? |

#3zombiegleemaxAug 21, 2004 14:04:13 | Hey there. First, have you ever read the old article by Sobrach on the dwur kingdoms of the Lortmil Mountains? I think it's in the second issue of the Oerth Journal. Second, when does your campaign take place? If it's after the Greyhawk Wars, the journey might be safest as OleOneEye suggested. (But when have PCs ever taken the safest way?) I've gamed PCs travel from Narwell up through the Gnarley Forest and to Dyvers in late winter/early spring. The northern Wild Coast and through the Gnarley (or Welkwood) and into Celene could be interesting, if you and your players care for olves and fae themes. So much is possible on the road! |

Have anyone played that Test of the Demonweb free adventure? How do you like it? I just downloaded the thing and I'm willing to give it a go. |
