The basic idea of the plain of raidiance is a plane filled wilth swirling light and color that sita opposite to the plane of shatow. Paizo goes on to make it mper inhabitable, adding floating islands and such, but why should this be the case? the Athesian planes arent exactly the most hospitible places in the univerce. the athesian plane of radiance, call it the white, or the prism, would be 'located' in the opposite 'direction' to the black. the prism would be to the plane of radiance what the black is to the plane of shadow. There is the theory that psionics functions by molding the black, that which could be, with your mind. But what if psionic energy was created when energy/matter from the black came into contact with energy/matter from the prism? liken the black to clay, and the prism to the force required to mold that clay. the more powerfull the psion, the more atrfully they are able to meld these two forces. The displays that are created by 3.5 psionics can esily be described as the discharges and exess energy created by this process. A psion can spend extera PP's and feats to better moderate the energy released, thus making hiding the effects. Any takers? |

Just wanted to add that ;) |

#5KamelionAug 24, 2004 5:17:57 | Originally posted by The People It was a quasi-elemental border plane between the elemental plane of Fire and the Positive Energy Plane. I used it intermittently throughout my homebrews but not in DS. You could use it for regions of the plane of Fire that are rich in life energy for whatever reason, or set it up as a pocket plane belonging to an evolved cleric elemental or present it as one of the planes Dregoth visited. Another thread mentions the idea of a plane called the Prism. The plane of Radiance might make a good mechanical template for that kind of thing. |
