I have an epic level Baklunish brute (Ahmad Shah Massoud Bin Ekbir) who gets a ton of attacks and deals lots of damage when he scores a critical. He's fun to play and the only fighter in our epic group of two wizards, a bard and a priest. My DM is always trying to supress my PC so he can get some licks in before my guy tears em up. His favorite tactic seems to be the old Spring Attack, try and hit me once and jump away. When it's a group of thugs or a Mirror Imaged thug it's really frustrating. I'm forced to stand in the back and fight the peons while the big baddie is dealing with the singer and the spell casters. My DM gloats and says "There's no magic item, spell or feat that alows you to move more than five feet and make more than two attacks (I have a speed sword). Bwa-ha-ha!"

Here's my idea: A magic item that alows you to five foot adjust through a Dimension Door (Quickened?) up to your opponent make all of your attacks and then spring away per Spring Attack. He says it would still take a move action to activate the magic item to trigger the spell. Ideas anyone?

Can't you simply use a weapon with a 10 foot reach such as a polearm or such? I'm pretty sure there must be a weapon with reach which doesn't leave you defenseless if they step up to your face...

Ok, your DM says this:
There's no magic item, spell or feat that alows you to move more than five feet and make more than two attacks.

That can mean one of two things.

1. There is no magic item that I know of that does this. But if you can think one up, kudos for you.
2. There is no magic item that does this in the universe that I run. Get over it.

If the answer is 1, then maybe you could develop a dimension door item that can be activated as a free action. Sure, it'd be expensive, but you are in an epic campaign.

If the answer is 2, you are out of luck, you'll just have to change your tactics.

Why not try readying a grapple? If you suceed you can prevent him from springing away.

Yes there is, a spiked chain, but it is an exotic weapon and therefore requires a feat to use.

Okay, I guess I should have given more details. My character uses a Scimitar +7 of Speed . He also has a +5 Scimitar of Wounding. I'm starting to take the feats that allow him to use two weapons to gain even more attacks. He's maxed out his Critical Threat range. He's a Fighter 14, Weapon Master 9 (T&B), Legendary Dreadnaught 7. My DM would be okay with a magic item that allowed just about anything if you can show it could be made within the rules and you had the money to make it. Between the two Wizards and the Priest(s) we have it's not a problem.

Well a use activated magic item takes as long to activate as the normal use. So if you can think of something that is a free or no action to use, you could put dimension door on that.

You could argue that a 5-foot step is a 'use' for boots, and put it on some boots.

Awesome Elendur. I think that'll work.

Actually, there is a spell that allows you to move more than 5' and attack. It is in Savage Species and it is called Lion's Charge. Convince your DM to let you use spells from that book, then spring (as it were) that spell on him.
Note however that I believe that spell to be more than a little unbalanced, and would caution you against bringing it into the game. But it does exist.

Aren't savage species spells geared toward non-human/demi-human races?

Now having mentioned Lion's Charge...I have recently discovered that there is an epic feat called Dire Charge which allows you to charge and get full attacks at least on the first round. ;)

Geared or not, that particular spell is a "regular" Druid or Sorceror/Wizard spell, and thus available to anyone.
There are also a few prestige classes with a similar special ability.
Finally I should note that Pounce has changed in 3.5, and can now be used any time during an encounter, not just on the first attack. Dire Charge should likely be updated to reflect that.
