Sep 01, 2004 17:23:16 On page 34 of RaFoaDK (english), Hamanu states, " Kalak is no champion." Just before this sentence, Hamanu stated that Kalak was a careless fool. Maybe Hamanu is just stating that Kalak didn't have the qualities of a Champion and not the Kalak wasn't a Champion.

Sep 01, 2004 19:43:37 I do aswell. I was just bringing up the point that Hamanu (possibly) did not intend to mean that Kalak was not a champion but that Kalak did not have the characteristics of a champion.

My suggestion, if the issue ever had to be 'settled' for the conversion, is to have Kalak as a Champion, but somehow having gained that status off Rajaat after the creation of the other Champions. That way ppl that want Kalak to be a champion get what they want, the ppl that want him to be a wimpy imposter can also get what they want. Of course, some ppl on both sides would not want that, they would want a large pizza, coke, and some emu-egg omlets to boot.

But hey, circular arguments provide endless hours of amusement, the group i play with (not DM) has been arguing over this for YEARS... as well as the real power of the Shadows, Ando's improsnment, if necromancers / shadow mages can become advanved beings... and we still derive both enjoyment and frustration from it

Brainstorm: reason for Hammanu not liking Kalak, and also not moving against him: both created after the original champions with the same, new 'improved' process....

With Cyrus9a's opinion, I think we now have the opinions of the entire DS community!
