I believe the Paladin CN variant Anarch allows crits on constructs but what about undead?

Two tips:

1) when you speak of a class-variant or a new PrC, it pays to include the reference

2) I believe this belong on another board more tied to game-mechanics

Perhaps you could include more tips on proper board form in another post, perhaps on a board specifically for that purpose. ;) I'm not looking to start a flame war here mortpierre, just giving you a jab. :D

Anyhoo, I was on the fly and typing fast. I've got more time now. The CN Paldain variant Anarch appeared in a Dragon, I can't think of what issue off hand and the issue I've seen belongs to my DM. The Anarch deals critical damage to constructs, I know that. My question was (or should have been stated more clearly) what other PrC's deal crits to constructs and/or undead.

As far as posting this question on another board for game mechanics? I post here because I play Greyhawk exclusively. I want GHers' opinions and ideas, not some Realmer twit.

I would never send anyone over to a FR board. I was actually thinking of something like this.

Sorry if my first post sounded reproachful. It's only that:

a) I consider it user-friendly - if not polite - to include references to obscure when you ask other folks advice about them.

b) Your question didn't exactly seem tied to the World of Greyhawk setting.

But then it's just me

Thanks for the link Mortepierre. I'll give it a shot. I would have included a reference to where the Anarch appeared but, as I said, I don't know what issue it was. Indeed, I could have framed it in a more Greyhawkian manner:

My Rhennee swashbuckler was recently waylaid by zombies animated by Nerull priests as he travelled through the Cairn Hills near Elmshire. His rapier is augmented with Keen Edged (it was enchanted by an old wizard from Rel Astra) and he is a 10th level Weapon Master (and a devotee of Kelanen) so his Critical Threat Range is fearsome to say the least. However against Zombies he is about as threatening as a priest of Moquol outside of the caravanserai in Ekbir. My question is...etc.

Enough GH references? :D Just kidding, I made all that up.

Aaah lad, now you're talking!

Now that is an interesting character (despite being made off the cuff)!

There are magic items around the DMG that allow you to harm constructs as normal. Undead are trickier, I'd take a few priest levels and -maybe- if you have a high enough charisma anyways you'll be able to smash those undead without a weapon! Now what about oozes!?

Now that I'm thinking about your fictional character, I wonder if there is any Kelanen related PrC's that would further compliment a Weaponmaster PrC.

Well, that's a good question Mortellan. Why don't we just make one up? Let's start with what we know about Kelanen, the Prince of Swords. He can wield any sword as if he were an expert in its use, correct? I would assume that in 3.5 that means he would effectively have all of the sword specific feats for all swords. Maybe, maybe not. If I remember right I think he can also make any sword within a certain range Dance, effectively making him impervious to all sword based attacks. He's true Neutral and I think his domains are Luck, Strength and War.

Requirements: NN Alignment, BAB 5, Proficiency in all basic swords, perhaps (begrudgingly) one or more exotic sword proficiencies. {I'm not a big fan of making the Bastard Sword an exotic weapon. I think it's silly too have to spend a feat on it. Sure it has a good CT range and does decent damage, but you can't wield two of them or another off hand weapon without considerable penalty, and it's most effective when you use both hands and forgo a shield.}

Benefits: Okay, someone elses turn, my brain is starting to hurt.
