#1zombiegleemaxSep 05, 2004 5:35:14 | There is a new Mystara Wiki on the web, with several useful features. Everyone can contribute, and it looks quite promising: http://celestialweb.dnsalias.net/wiki/mystara/Wiki |

#4kheldrenSep 07, 2004 8:40:00 | Is no-one going to answer Spellweaver's question? - he just got in first as I can't work out what a 'Wiki' is either... :whatsthis |
#5havardSep 07, 2004 9:04:29 | Is no-one going to answer Spellweaver's question? - he just got in first as I can't work out what a 'Wiki' is either... Its a program or web page feature that allows people to make a website together, without neccesarily having to know anything about web design. At least, thats what I understand it to be. I have no experience with Wikis and haven't really had time to explore this one. If you are curious about how it works, I suggest checking it out through the link in the original post. As with most computer stuff, I suspect one can find out alot by just fiddling around with it. HÃ¥vard |
#6HuginSep 25, 2004 18:08:12 | What happened to the Mystara Wiki - I tried to explore in the past few days but have not been able to. Is it gone? (I was just going to start trying to figure out how the thing worked too!). |

(I was just going to start trying to figure out how the thing worked too!). Uhm, the address belongs to a service that allow people to use their PC as a web server by assigning a permanent name/address (your standard connection uses a temporary address assigned by the provider). This is to say that it may simply be that the Mystara Wiki is only available when the owner's PC is on and online. As to what a wiki is, it is a basically a website that allows the user to modify the contents without explicit use of html syntax. As a technology, it has found application in the development of encyclopedia-type document, where different authors may insert and revise articles. This link (to a wiki page) explains it better: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki |

If this is the case, I've got some spare web space that I'd be willing to offer for a persistent home. |
#9HuginOct 03, 2004 17:33:43 | I forgot to mention that the link that lead to the Wiki from the home page of the Vaults of Pandius is also gone. Anybody here know anything new about this site's status? |
#10stanlesOct 03, 2004 18:33:56 | I forgot to mention that the link that lead to the Wiki from the home page of the Vaults of Pandius is also gone. Anybody here know anything new about this site's status? I removed the link to the Wiki from the front page because the page wasn't working when I made the update and I haven't been able to get to it since. The link is still in the links section of the Vaults. Keene was the person who set up the Wiki, I haven't tried to get in contact with him yet. His email is akhammon@yahoo.com |

#12stanlesOct 13, 2004 14:36:57 | I never got into contact with Keene, but the Wiki is back there again and has been so for the last couple of days when I checked. |
