Mina not part of Aberrations?

Sep 07, 2004 16:24:27 Okay...so I know I said that out of all the possible DL minis, I hoped it wouldn't be Mina. But that doesn't change the fact that I still want one (I was just hoping for maybe a Sivak or something).

But now I hear rumblings that it is not even going to be part of the Aberrations pack? Can someone confirm or deny this?

A lot of you who can't make the book tour have been asking me when the Mina miniatures will be released to the public. According to Wizards, the minis are a promo item and are not currently scheduled. They will let me know when they will be available.

Why would they include Mina when they haven't even finished the draconians? Which, IMO, are about as Dragonlance as it gets...

Personally I think that's a toss up between kender, gnomesm. and draconians. At least those were the 2 distinguishing races that set DL apart from everyother gaming world, until 3rd Ed. It couldn't have been more obvious, and insulting IMO, to do what they did to the gnomes and halflings for 3rd Ed. They tried to blend all gaming worlds into one nice package, when they should have left well enough alone. No one I know or game with likes what they did, even those that don't know DL

Back to the subject...I would love to see some bad!*& draconicans and kenders with hoopaks and wippiks!! Rock on DL Rules!!!!

Sep 08, 2004 14:23:18 1) Okay...a few weeks ago, Jamie hinted that there was to be a new DL mini in Aberrations. (which was when I made the comment, "Sweet! Man, I hope it's not Mina." It's not that I don't like her as a dislikable evil character...it's that she's a female human in black armor, pretty generic for a mini, when it'd be nice to have a new draconian)

2) At GenCon it was released that Mina would be the new DL mini. (Oops...open mouth insert foot).

3) Now Margaret makes this odd comment, but mentions nothing about Aberrations. (so, was Jamie incorrect with his original statement back in July?)

(see...I wasn't just pulling this out of my arse here)

Sep 08, 2004 14:31:21 While kender and, to a lesser extent, gnomes are iconic DL creatures, they are also both widely loved and widely despised. Draconians, on the other hand, are well liked and there is precedent for including them (since they've already done baaz and kapaks, why not the rest?).
