#1richard_kSep 07, 2004 18:56:37 | I picked up a miniature somewhere of Lord Pazrael and i was wondering who he/she/it is. |

He/it doesn't rule any specific Abyssal layer, but rather the airborne regions of many/all of them. He/it was mentioned mostly in 'On Hallowed Ground' in 2e, among other 2e sources I don't recall at the moment in specific. In 3e he/it was statted in the BoVD web enhancement. |

As Pazuzu, Pazrael is fully statted in the Manual of the Planes web enhancement. Same illustration as Planes of Chaos had and everything. I think Pazuzu's name was changed as part of the 2nd edition interdiction against "Satanic" imagery. Of course, Pazuzu is the demon from the Exorcist. Speaking of which, I've been meaning to start a thread somewhere about the Exorcist: the Beginning movie and its connection to Pazuzu/Pazrael. Especially the flies in it, which are very appropriate to Pazrael's abyssal layer (Torremor: the Abode of Flies, if memory serves). Panzuriel is a watery god who dwells in the Gray Waste. No relation. |
