I'd swap the actors for Sturm and Riverwind. Keanu Reeves cannot emote unless it's being a complete airhead like in Bill and Ted's. Giving him an emotional character like Riverwind is beyond his acting abilities. I don't think Milia Jovovich is beefy enough to wield a cast iron frying pan as Tika, I'd put someone like...say...Angie Everhart. Not only does she have a set of pipes but she's got the bod for the role. Tas - John Lequaziamo (sp?) Flint - Harvey Kietel (he's got the attitude for it)

Russell Crowe can not pull that off. I'd say an unknown body builder with acting abilities could pull it off. Maybe Vin Diesel.... maybe not.

Jude Law (The Talented Mr. Ripley, A.I.) as Tanis Half-Elven. Vin Diesel as Verminaard.

Caramon - Russell Crowe, You know he's a midget right? Right there you're in for a lot of forced perspective photography. How about a nice Kevin Sorbo for Caramon, and a nice Ted Rami for Raist., Bruce Campbell can do Fizban? Flint: John Ryes Davis. Leave the dwarfs to the profesionals. Or just gray Crowe's hair by cutting off his booze supply for a week. Presto, angry dwarf, no acting required.

But I don't think Russell should be in Dragonlance. How about a nice Kevin Sorbo for Caramon, and a nice Ted Rami for Raist., Bruce Campbell can do Fizban? Only if Tika and Laurana do a lesbian tease bits, to steal from Xena. Not really a fan of Kevin Sorbo. Andromeda used to be a good TV series, but since the departure of the very guy who put Roddenberry's notes together to make the series have left the production and Kevin got a much bigger responsibility as a producer of said TV series, the direction of the series pretty much spiraled down into a black hole. Flint: John Ryes Davis. Leave the dwarfs to the profesionals. Or just gray Crowe's hair by cutting off his booze supply for a week. Presto, angry dwarf, no acting required. I dunno. I don't like recycling LOTR stars into Dragonlance. I'd rather avoid it at all cost. DL should be its own distinctive film, right down to a very different cast.

Does anybody know what come out of the negotations between WoTC and the "unknown movie coopration", I must be about a year ago, since I last heard something.
