#1zombiegleemaxSep 10, 2004 10:20:36 | I was going through my Dark Sun book collection, reading bits here and there and I came across some printout I made from 1999 of a Dark Sun Netzine called "The Sands of Athas". It contained reader submissions containing short stories, new items, powers, spells, etc. Reading through the 8 or so Issues I had, I enjoyed reading the short stories, and while most of the items and powers are outdated due to being in 2nd Ed., it certainly gave me ideas of my own. I tried looking for the website again via google to see if by some slim chance they were still online and had no luck. Anyone have an idea of what ever happened to this netzine project? |

That's the darksun Flip site. Some of the stuff that was there as been added to Athas.org website. Although, the web site is still online somewhere. To find this somewhere (because I am a bit lasy right now :D ) go to my web page at siltskimmer.net and roam through the toooooooooooooooooo much load of web site I have in my HUGE links page. It's probably in the 2e edition link. |

We were all constrained to TSR Online on AOL at the time, but I think the community was great. The Sand of Athas was a fun netzine (I contributed a few things), and the old TSR Archives were once full of fan created Dark Sun stuff. I'll have to check out your site Grummore and see what else pops up. Stay shady everyone. |
#5zombiegleemaxSep 12, 2004 22:10:46 | Out with the old and in with the new! (I will accept any mapping contributions) |

#11jon_oracle_of_athasOct 31, 2004 11:54:25 | Or the unofficial downloads section. That's probably it. Anyway, I've sent Gab a request. |
#12gabOct 31, 2004 18:46:21 | Yeah, I'll clean them up, maybe make them PDFs? |
#13jon_oracle_of_athasNov 01, 2004 2:54:21 | Please do. |
#14zombiegleemaxNov 01, 2004 18:43:43 | Wow...it's been a while since I've been active on the boards. Seeing my old name (Chay0s) come up is funny. I'm going to be running a 3.5 Dark Sun soon. I just started gaming with a new group and they all seem to be Dark Sun fans, so I thought I'd dust off my books and give it another whirl. My computer is down right now, I have all of the original Sands of Athas on a HD somewhere. If I get it up and no one has been able to pull them together I'll let you know. Raddu....aka Chay0s |
#15jaanosNov 01, 2004 21:03:51 | I third it. Motion carried. :D I second that. |
#16jon_oracle_of_athasNov 02, 2004 1:47:50 | It's been a while since we last heard from you, Raddu. Good to see you're still alive! |
#17gabNov 02, 2004 7:21:57 | I've got all 9 issues of TSoA. I'm in the process of cleaning them up. They should be available as PDFs on athas.org in a few days. It's been a while Raddu! Good to see you back around here! |

#19NefalDec 31, 2004 5:56:43 | Hi! I know that you people at athas.org were very busy with Dregoth Ascending, Epic Rules, usw. but what's about these PDF articles? Would you still clean them up and post them soon? Or should I send a mail to you gab? Thanxs and happy new year!!! :D Nefal |
#20jon_oracle_of_athasDec 31, 2004 6:18:30 | Gab's handling the netzines. I'll ask him to up the priority. |
