#2HuginSep 11, 2004 15:42:00 | How did they get to Serraine, then? Just guesses but: -Serraine had visited Alphatia at some point and some pegataurs left with the city. -An Alphatian used pegataurs to travel to Serraine, became a citizen there, and the pegataurs stayed as well. -"Top Ballista" suggests that the wizard origin story isn't true; that they were created by the Immortals. The history of Serraine says the first pegataurs there were merecenaries. The "truth" could be up to you IYC. I had forgotten about these creatures. |
#3havardSep 12, 2004 4:46:26 | What if the Alphatian wizard's tale is true, just not the entire truth? An Alphatian Wizard did in fact create a large clan of Pegataurs by combining Shiye Elves and Pegasi. However, this was not the origin of the Pegataur race as a whole, which had already been created by the Immortals. This would give us the possibility of fleshing out the Shyie Pegataurs, native to Alphatia, who might be a bit different (culturally, if not stat-wise) from the Known World Pegataurs, many of whom frequently visit Serraine.
