Is there a feat from any source that allows a creature with a tail to wield a weapon with it?

I'm thinking of including this in my Tari write up. Any and all info is welcome.

If there is, it would be in Savage Species.

You could also look in Serpent Kingdoms...

Prehensile Tail (p.147) is probably the feat. It enables you to use the tail as a "third" hand.

I'll have to take a look at my buddy's copy of Serpent Kingdoms. Thanks for the info bro.

In Vigil Watch : Warrens of the Ratmen by SS, it exist a PrC named the tail fighter, which enable the ratman (or tari ;) ) to use its tail as a third hand for both combat and non-combat purpose. Hope it helps and/or gives some ideas.

PS. The feat prehensile tail from Serpent Kingdoms is the same as prehensile tail on p. 38 in Savage Species (copy/paste for rules).

I'll have to take a look at that Warrerns of the Ratmen book. I'm sure there's a slew of material that could be used for tari in it.

Speaking of PrCs, I was thinking of one for the tari which would focus on the race's disease afflicting ability. It would work along the lines that at each level (or every other, don't know which yet) of the PrC the tari character would gain another disease from the chart in the DMG. The character with the PrC wouldn't suffer its effects but would be able to infect another being with it thru its bite attack.

I haven't decided if the PrC will allow the character to decide or choose which disease their bite attack can inflict or if its a random roll made with each sucessful hit.

The Scarred Lands stuff on ratmen is a nice resource for rules to steal for tari on DS, a must buy for those who like their ratmen a bit on the nasty side.

Too bad they don't get rage anymore . . . and they're not nekkid anymore either . . .

I'd really rather he kept all that to himself....

Nothing other than it seems to be the trend on the DS board lately.

So I started a fan club . . . okay, maybe I am sick . . . where's my meds?

Anyhow, anyone know of any other decent tari resources beyond the Scarred Lands renditions of ratmen? Been meaning to check into how warhammer handles scaven (now that its in full fledged RPG format), my knowledge of them being limited to getting about halfway through the first PC game . . . damn that was hard.

What do you mean by Now? Warhammer Fantasy RPG is older than D&D 3rd Edition... Possibly older than Dark Sun.

Skaven are an interesting race, and have been my race of choice for the tabletop miniature wargame. I tend to believe that Scarred Lands blatantly stole the Skaven for their Ratmen, because there is a lot more similarities than just the fact they are rats. Unfortunately, Warhammer Fantasy RPG is not very forthcoming about a lot of things, but if you know of a Games Workshop store (or at least a store that sells their products), and were to check out the Skaven Army book, you'd have a lot of the details flavor and fluff for the Skaven in it.

Hmmm . . . I was under the impression that it wasn't turned into an RPG until recently, previously being a miniature game. I stand firmly corrected. Was it revised or updated within the past year or so?

Maybe. Their rules really sucked, IMHO. Basically, I saw Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay as simply "look, here's something else you can us your miniatures for, but isn't remotely as simple as Warhammer Quest." I never bothered looking into it after attempting to play in a Warhammer RPG game, and then trying to run one.

Warhammer RPG had its own ruleset (the rules sucked, IMHO too) and recently it was released as a D20 product.

I plan on pulling some info from skaven for tari, but not everything. I try to view them in a different light. That being that the tari were once noble and friendly with most other races in the Green Age but fell from grace after the events of the Cleansing War. See my tari time line for details.
