#1zombiegleemaxSep 29, 2004 15:09:15 | Well by now we are fully aware that the book entitled Races of Ansalon is set to be released sometime during the year 2005. What are your expectations for this new accessory ? What do you(as fans) want to see in this book(which races in particular, etc) ? ~~~ |
#2zombiegleemaxSep 29, 2004 17:02:49 | I for one would like to see more PrCs presented such as the kirath. I would also like to see unique weapons for the races in the book as well, especially the weapons of the little kender and the different kinds of arrows utilized by the elves, kind of like what was in Tales of the Lance. |

Was one of the elves in the Key of Destiny module a Kirath ? ~~~ |

#5daedavias_dupSep 30, 2004 10:30:52 | I want to say this thread was done like a few months ago, but there are new members and new books that have surfaced since then, so have at you. I would like to see the following things: 1. Somewhat like the reverse of what is in the descriptions of classes, I would like to see what the typical member of a class is like for each race. I guess sort of like what is in the Towers of High Sorcery book, except with all of the classes (except the Wizard or Cleric classes, I guess). What is the typical Minotaur druid like, how do elven paladins act, etc. 2. More race specific weapons. Namely for kender and minotaurs. Most of the other races don't have too many specific weapons, except the gnomes (but that is a whole different story). 3. Oodles of race specific PrCs. 4. Of course, gnome invention rules. 5. Monster classes for DL-specific races. How about seeing how a draconian levels up and such. Or rules for playing a first level irda (a variable three level class, I guess). |
#6zombiegleemaxSep 30, 2004 10:35:48 | Asking for PrCs might get you into trouble on this board. The pesonalities of the races and the classes might be an invaluable asset for people. Good thinking Daevedis. |

Good thinking Daevedis. ...the heck? Asking for a PrC on this board doesn't get you into trouble. I know that Amaron Blackthorn asked for a freaking Revered Son/Daughter PrC once, but the logic behind it wasn't very sound. I'm talking PrC's that fit specific roles in the races, like the Windriders ,Wildrunners, or ogre shamans (who also could be statted using Nomad Shaman, I guess). |
#8zombiegleemaxSep 30, 2004 10:59:35 | So it depends on who it is that asks for a PrC? Ah politics, how I love and despise thee at the same time. |
#9daedavias_dupSep 30, 2004 11:10:25 | So it depends on who it is that asks for a PrC? No, it depends on what a person is asking for. I don't think there NEEDS to be a PrC for the Windriders, but since there is a Griffon Wizard PrC already for the elves (which I can't think of any off-hand canon characters who would have levels in it, but that doesn't mean they don't exist), it would make sense that there would be a PrC for the Windriders, who are known to be canon and are mentioned in numerous books. By the way, in what thread did you ever request a PrC? |
#10zombiegleemaxSep 30, 2004 11:17:09 | I am not asking for a PrC, I have simply been reading to catch up on some of what has been going on here. |
