#1stanlesOct 02, 2004 15:12:03 | Well they're still on Pandius, of course, but the website which borrows their name definitely has moved. Thanks to Gordon for the hosting over on starflung for ages, all your work has been very much appreciated. The Vaults are now being hosted by another Mystara, by the name of Jenni, hoorah. They are now at http://www.mystaranet.jamm.com/vaults The vaults over at Starflung will still be there for a little while but soon they will just have a pointer to the new site. |
#2chimpmanOct 02, 2004 16:11:25 | Wha!? :OMG! What happened? What's the reason for the move Shawn? Will Wizards update their link on the Other Worlds page? |
#3stanlesOct 02, 2004 16:40:46 | Gordon was unable to keep the space going. This affect myself the M3E site and the Almanac site since we were all on starflung. Jenni runs M3E and she was able to start hosting the sites so that's all been being set up. I have only just go onto Wizards to start changing all their links, I was waiting till the site was up before I told them where the new site was, but I fallged it with them a little while back to say that the site would be moving. The M3E site is now at http://www.mystaranet.jamm.com/m3e and the almanac will be at http://www.mystaranet.jamm.com/almanac |
#4havardOct 04, 2004 16:27:49 | Gordon has definately been generous in providing disc space for the Vaults for so long (How long has it been?)! I hope he knows how much we appreciate it. Also the fact that Jenni was able to take over hosting all of the sites so soon is great news. Is there any way we can support the financing of the site? I also checked out http://www.mystaranet.jamm.com Looks like a pretty nice portal for the various official mystara sites aswell as providing a potentially useful link section. I tried to add my Blackmoor site a couple of days ago, but either I messed it up or it hasn't been approved yet. Oh and, keep up the good work Shawn! Thanks to you this transfer went so smoothly. I'm still getting used to not typing in dnd.starflung.net which I know without thinking, but at least now we have mystara in the url name which is cool Havard |
#5chimpmanOct 04, 2004 16:43:41 | I'd like to add my thanks to Gordon for his years of work , as well as thanking Jenni in advance for her years of work (yet to come ;) ). One thing I've noticed is that the default pages do seem to take quite a while to load up. This doesn't seem to happen when viewing the actual content pages. |
#6zombiegleemaxOct 04, 2004 17:06:35 | I've noticed the Review site is gone. For any specific reason? (And, of course, I join all the thanks to both Godron and Jenni. And to you, Shawn. Always.) |
#7stanlesOct 05, 2004 3:05:12 | I'd like to add my thanks to Gordon for his years of work , as well as thanking Jenni in advance for her years of work (yet to come ;) ). yeah I've noticed that one too ... it's being looked into |
#8stanlesOct 05, 2004 3:05:49 | I've noticed the Review site is gone. For any specific reason? the review site will be coming over shortly - don't worry it hasn't been totally forgotten. |
#9havardOct 06, 2004 9:43:34 | I suppose I should contact Jenni about this, but perhaps it would be possible, on the main mystaranet page to get a "community" entry with links to this forum, the MML, the M3eyahoogroup and perhaps even the ZGG Forums, and anywhere else Mystara may be discussed? I couldn't access the M3E site from mystaranet yet, but I assume it will be moved shortly, or was just down at the moment? While I am at it, what are the benefits of being an approved offical fansite? Are you allowed to use WotC artwork on the Vaults for instance? I know that one of the reasons why the Vaults have been kept relatively art free is to leave room for other material. What are the conditions (ie hard disc space available) at the new locations of the Vaults? Will this allow for more art? Just curious. Håvard |

That wouldn't slow down the main body of the pages, but still allow newcomers to discover the art associated with Mystara (Gazetteer covers etc). As usual, I'm just tossing out ideas. Feel free to use or ignore them Håvard |
