I'm not fond of the bard singing to the Death Knight just because it seems too similar to Lord Soths. While not exactly the same, it seems too similar for my tastes. But it doesn't ruin the story for me.

I didn't know Lord Ausric's fate, kind of sad to hear about it. It seems more and more of the famous or well known people or things in Dragonlance are being picked off. Just read Lake of Death and that was a surprise also. Wish they werent all goin away..

Agreed.

I'm not fond of the bard singing to the Death Knight just because it seems too similar to Lord Soths. While not exactly the same, it seems too similar for my tastes. But it doesn't ruin the story for me.

Yeah, I agree. Unfortunately, that was part of his background from the DL Book of Lairs. I tried to spice it up a bit, though.
