#1SteveMNDOct 05, 2004 22:33:26 | Well, not so much a question as a request for information. I know a (very) little bit about the Ur-flan, but I'm not sure how much is accurate. I hear them mentioned as an ancient race or culture long gone, and that they did unspeakable nastiness, and I hear Vecna tossed about with them as well (either as amember of the culture, or as their ruler). Does anyone know of a source about Ur-flan (canon preferred, but I kind of get the feeling little in canon exists on them aside from rumors and legends), or maybe can point to a website or article on them? Thanks, Steve M |

Then, "The History of the Great Kingdom" is worth a look. Besides, but I am sure you already have it, the free sourcebook Ivid the Undying features some minor information. ------------------------------------------------------------ After the Battle of a Forthnight's Length, most of the old Flan settled in Nyrond and around the Flinty Hills, I think. I am not sure about Stonehold, but I think there might be some descendant as well. Some of the Urflan were exiled with Kas to Ravenloft. |

The only 2 places that have mention of the Ur-Flan, other than Dragon or Dungeon are the LGG and the unpublished Ivid the Undying. Halber |

I wrote up my take on the Ur-Flan in a combination adventure and resource document (history, goals, resources, prestige class, magic items, monsters & spells) in about 30 pages. It is located on Canonfire in the Topics section under the Adventures sub-section. It is in two parts. The URLs follow - http://www.canonfire.com/htmlnew/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=484 http://www.canonfire.com/htmlnew/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=483 It's not canon. But it should be, IMHO. :D GVD |

Since most topics in GH (or any other campaign) has lots of holes for the DM to fill, I certainly don't mind looking at other people's interpretations and speculations on how to fill them. |
