An Even Trade?

I am ready to run an Age of Despair Campaign with my newly purchased War of the Lance Sourcebook and I am wondering what abilities are fair in replacing the spell casting abilities that my PC Ranger may never gain the power to cast.

I was thinking of increasing the Hit Die to 10 and opening up the Weapon Specialization Feats to the PC. What are your opinions?

Oct 09, 2004 8:42:36 		Here are some options, by no means inclusive:

1. Use the variant ranger presented in Complete Warrior; or
2. Allow the ranger to select a bonus feat from the fighter bonus feat (assuming he meets its requirements) list at every level in which he would normally have gained a new spell level.
