I have a campaign i am running that will not be ending any time soon; i probobly won't be doing any other long campaigns, and i'm pretty short on cash. Should i get KoD, with those negitave conditions? That's my question. Any help would be appreciated. |

The easy answer, from someone obviously biased, is that you should get Key of Destiny -- but in truth it all depends on your gaming needs. The adventure has a lot of great source material that can be adapted to existing campaigns, but it's strength really lies in running it as an epic, long-term adventure. Right now we're sold-out of Key of Destiny, though it's still available at many game stores. Jamie Chambers Sovereign Press, Inc. |

I didn't get Key of Destiny myself, because I'm not too interested in adventuring in either Khur or the Desolation. I have to also admit that I didn't find the story all that compelling with a casual glance, but I could be completely wrong. 'Tis just the "vibe" I got. People who have actually read and played through the adventure seemed to enjoy it quite a bit. There are maps, NPC's, and encounters that you could rip from it but there are cheaper places to get it (esp. Dungeon Magazine). |

Suddenly, those 1st level warror footmen became 8th level Lily Knights, those 1st level goblin rogues became 5th level hobgoblin rogues lead by a 5th level Bugbear, etc. |

I was going to run my group through it, but I decided instead to start a new game for it when my current one closes. Not only can it be used as another campaign when your's finishes, but is is also a great source of information. You get a fairly indepth detail of all the areas it goes through updated for the AoM setting, Khur, Kendermore, the Desolation, etc. I'd say buy it, if you don't like it e-bay it, that way you can re-coup some of the money spent. |
