#1pringlesOct 25, 2004 18:17:25 | I just had a scenario idea for my DS campaign, and I want to know what do you think about it. It's in the free year 2. The PC are now average level 10. `` They must retrieve an old wise-man who is now a slave in Nibenay. They learn that the man is in a vast 1000 slaves caravane bound for the salt flat. It's in fact the slaves for the Dragon levy. They must catch the caravane and save the old man before it arrive to the place were the Dragon will come pick the life-force of the slaves. Since there too many slave, one of the tactics the PC could use is to become themselves slaves and then, being part of the levy, search for the old men. It could end in a climatic escape as the Pc try to leave the place with the Dragon hovering above leeching all the life-force of the slaves. `` So,what do you think? |

#6zombiegleemaxOct 26, 2004 1:32:18 | I always thought he ate the slaves :P I would, if I were a crazy dragon. |
#7zombiegleemaxOct 26, 2004 3:11:37 | I always thought he ate the slaves :P I would, if I were a crazy dragon. IIRC (and I sometimes do) he imposed the levy after he got his marbles back. "Hmmm, sure is a lot more sand around here than I remember... maybe if I cut back on the defiling things will be all green again in an king's age or so..." |
#8PennarinOct 26, 2004 3:23:30 | So,what do you think? You can up the stakes this way: While you are in the caravan to retreive your bounty you come across the signs of a plot (or its agents) threatening the lives of the thousand slaves. The plot leads to members of the Brotherhood of the Mind―based off of the slopes of the Smoking Crown―and ultimately to its leader, the undead Liumakh, and its eternal hatred for the sorcerer-monarchs, especially Nibenay. The goal of the agents is to kill all of the slaves or to free them after killing the guards, witholding the city's levy this year and hopefuly slowing down Nibenay, letting Liumakh take advantage of the situation somehow. |

So the PC will have to protect the slave of the dragon levy to save Nibenay from being attacked by the Dragon? Sound like the Amber enchantress reversed. Deliver 1000 slaves safe to spare Nibenay from destruction. I keep my original idea. As for the hovering Dragon, its in fact an hovercraft desguise as a dragon. No seriously, I'm french-canadian so english is not my language. I mean flying over the place in circle. Remember that the Dragon fly movement is 45(A) (my game is 2e edition btw). #10PennarinOct 26, 2004 14:35:35 | "Good" characters would not let an entire people suffer to get at their evil king, so even though they might think the enraged Dragon would kill Nibenay he the levy was lost, he would also raze the city... |
