#1zombiegleemaxNov 06, 2004 17:52:13 | First I'm abig fan of the Ravenloft setting and series, even the new 3rd version of it. But since S&S got the rights to Ravenloft I've haven't seen any new Ravenloft fiction. This doesn't bode well specially since I'm a Writer as well, I want to create new Heroes for this 3rd Ravenloft world and fiction detailing there actions, |

WW will not publish adventures as they are not making money, idem with RL fictions. So for you: if you want to get published, get WotC's permission to use RL caracteristics. Joël |

#7zombiegleemaxNov 14, 2004 20:08:22 | I recently found a copy of one of the original Ravenloft novels with the wizards logo where TSR was so they are at least reprinting some of them. Maybe they are feeling out to see if there is still a market? The last three released Ravenloft books in the series, Shadowborn (1998), I Strahd; The War against Azalin (1998), and Spectre of the Black Rose (1999) all had the "TSR - A subsidiary of Wizards of the Coast" statement on them. No Ravenloft novel has been reissued since that time, and none appear on the 2005 Release Schedule. They are very industriously re-releasing all the older Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms novels from the 1980's, but no official word has been made regarding future Ravenloft novels. A number of us have written to Pete Archer, head of the novels division, regarding our desire to purchase anything Ravenloft, but I suspect we have not yet flooded his office with requests. |
