#1wolf72Nov 17, 2004 8:42:35 | I know wild elves appear in the MM/SRD, but what about Valley Elves? ... hopefully it's not a LG update thing ... if so, can someone tell me if they're stats are any different or if they get different modifiers? diff favored class? etc. (not worried about fluff, I have plent of 1e/2e info on them) |
#2thanaelNov 17, 2004 10:25:08 | They are in LGJ #2 the most raer issue of them due to the Map. LIVING GREYHAWK Journal [Volume 1, Number 2; Spring 591 CY, November 2000] Enchiridion of the Fiend Sage By Sean K Reynolds Details and updates to Third Edition the animus, the valley elf, bullywug savant, and the grigaur. Most are Rgr/Wiz, they gain +4 on disguise when disguising as a human, -2 to diplomacy, Gather info and intimitdate vs other elves. Else the same as High elves. (cannot be clerics of the seldarine) |
#3wolf72Nov 17, 2004 18:35:20 | thank-ee much! favored class still wizard? |
#4ArgonNov 18, 2004 0:16:49 | Valley Elves are as old as the first edition of Dungeons & Dragons. Grugach as well both are Greyhawk specific. So The LG had nothing to do with the creation of the Valley Elves it is an old staple of Greyhawk kistory. |

#6zombiegleemaxNov 18, 2004 9:06:19 | Wes, I think he was making that statement in regards to the thread owner's comment...hopefully it's not a LG update thing ... |
#7thanaelNov 18, 2004 9:24:09 | thank-ee much! Yes as per high elf. They are taller and fluff is like 1E/2E probably |
#8wolf72Nov 18, 2004 12:09:33 | thanks! um ... yup, I knew about the 1e Valley elf ... My friend played a Valley Elf Rogue and me a Drow Ranger with dual longswords. This was when Unearthed Arcana [u]FIRST[u/] came out. A long while later The Crystal Shard came out (which our group devoured) and the universal response was "Hey ... THAT's YOU!!!!/ME!!!" bah! ... can't underline? oh well, I'll leave it in for the effect. |
