Did anyone "translate" the regional feats presented in the Players Guide to Faerun to Greyhawk regions?

If so, would that someone kindly post his translation so lazy me doesn´t have to work it out myself?

:D

FYI Greyhawk has its own list of regional feats. It was published in Dragon Mag. issues # 315 and 319 ;)

I wonder if they had something put in their coffee when they made Dragon #319.
Just have a look at the erudite (why would anybody play a psion, then?) and the regional feat which gives you regeneration (1) like a troll. Which Class would not like to have that one?

It looks great until you notice you are fatigued whenever you are exposed to sunlight. Also there is a reason they are called REGIONAL feats, unless you are playing a barbarian campaign, I doubt there is a lot of characters that should have that feat.

I actaully dislike the regional feats as presented in PGtF, I much prefered the regional feat idea as presented in FRCS (and I believe that the Greyhawk regional feats in dragon are based upon those, because they came out long before PGtF did).

in the PGtF version of region feats you can only ever have 1 regional feat, it has to be taken at 1st level, and they are MUCH more powerful then a standard feat.

as opposed to the FRCS version... where you could always take one if you were from the specified region or had 2 or more ranks of local knowledge in a specific region (Exept for a few that specified that they could only be taken at first level in the feat) and you could have multiple regional feats. The regional feats in FRCS (except for the few that specified they had to be taken at first level) were generaly fairly well balanced against the existing feats in the PHB, and were regionalized for flavor reasons.

Interesting. I read a note about a change in design philosophy regarding these kind of feats in Dragon 315:64 (regarding ancestor feats).

indeed, it appears that WotC's current design philosophy would dictate that Flavor is not a valid reason to do anything.

There are ways around that — Soldier's Rest item from Arms & Equipment, Horizon Walker, etc.. Though if you're starting from 1st level it'd be a concern. I haven't seen the feat in question (what region is it from) so I can't say if there would be other issues to it.
