#1pringlesNov 23, 2004 7:30:01 | I want to put Caelum in my campaign. I play 2e edition. What level is Caelum? |
#2zombiegleemaxNov 24, 2004 1:59:05 | I don't think he's ever given stats in any product. I'd put him at around the average heroes of tyr level. somewhere between 14 and 18. |
#3zombiegleemaxNov 24, 2004 8:30:44 | I don't have my Books in front of me but IIRC his most powerful Spell was a Wall of Fire. Just look what Level an Cleric has to be to cast this Spell. -L |
#4zombiegleemaxNov 25, 2004 1:30:38 | But was he a Fire Cleric or a Sun cleric? |
#5jon_oracle_of_athasNov 25, 2004 11:44:46 | I'd say a fire cleric. |
#6zombiegleemaxNov 25, 2004 12:47:09 | Most people say Fire cleric because he was a good guy. I don't think that being a para-elemental cleric automatically makes you an evil person (misguided maybe, but not evil). And Kled had no roofs to better expose them to the sun. I vote Sun Cleric. After the first Tyr storm rolled over Kled I bet they installed roofs though. :P |
#7zombiegleemaxNov 25, 2004 13:22:23 | sun cleric. it's all about the sun cleric. does he have to be "good?" stt-wise, the "goodest" person is Rikus. The man who has no qualms killing guards and sendinga legion to their doom. Sadira was a defiler, but she's still considered a "good guy." So Caelum and Rkard should be sun clerics. They yak on and on about the sun, so it should be the sun, not fire, that they worship. As for figuring out his level, yeah, try looking in the books. At one point I was going through all my dark sun game books, taking note of everything in the flavor text and translating tehm into stats. Like characters in all the stories that accompanied the adventures. I'd figure their level by the spells they were casting and their apparent level of abilty. It's time-consuming, but it works. nic |
#8zombiegleemaxNov 25, 2004 19:26:59 | I said Fire Cleric to make it easier, a Sun Cleric, which Caelum is, will need the same Level to cast a Wall of Fire (or call it Sun). |
