As for GH relevance it has mentions of Telchur and Vatun for starters. The Ebon Ice is a possibility for the Black Ice near Blackmoor and there are plenty of monsters in there worth using in your northerly campaigns. (I personally am happy to find the Ice Toad and White Pudding is in this book). Akin to the races book, this one features several races useable as characters, and in contrast to Races of Stone, I think some do have the GH flavor. The snow elf comes to mind (From an old Dragon article). Not to be finished a recent Dungeon magazine has an accompanying adventure for Frostburn by Wolfgang Baur, that is set in the Land of Black Ice. Plenty of GH goodness in contrast to the racial series. Now on to the next rave. In March according to WOTC they are releasingSandstorm the next in the environment series, for deserts. I can't stress enough how much this book excites me. First It's about deserts. A primary favorite of mine. Take the Sea of Dust, Dry Steppes, Bright Desert, The Wastes...all will come to life with this book. I can't wait to see what monsters make this book (Crosses fingers for Thoqqua). And on a side note Bruce Cordell is on the project, a favorite author of mine. I'm also sure Dungeon will have a module attached to this book like for Frostburn(Will pick Mona's brain for news). End of rave. |

Especially nice is the impact the resource can have on my GH games. As Mortellen said, the Ebon Ice is a nice niche that could easily be planted in GH. And used in conjunction with the recent adventure in dungeon Raiders of the Black Ice, FROSTBURN could see a lot of use. As for the upcoming Sandstorm Environmental supplement... can we say, PLAINS OF DUST, here we come! .............................Omote FPQ |

(I thought the same thing about Liber Mortis.) Thanks to all the good things I've heard about Frostburn, however, I think I'll check it out. I've wanted to set a campaign in Tenh for a while... |
