I've seen the cosmology stuff on athas.org and I think that it was pretty cool I'm starting a verson of the cosmology that has more focusing on Elemental personalitites and explinations of the elemental powers that Champions and Elemental Lords have.

I know I'm going to hear 'Athas.org is already working on it' from Nyt but I just can't wait for them to do it, and since I was not allowed back in the door, I'm going to just take a path that is my own, but I'm going to share it with you folks so I can get your input at all stages so I can feel how other people percive the setting.

Anyway, I'm going to tease it with a picture of how I view the Athasian cosmos:

Here are some Personalitites I gathered a long time ago that will be featured.

Gurdek (Neutral Evil Earth Patron)

-- featured in Black Spines, book 2.
Not much is mentioned about Gurdek other than he is insane and a ravager of his priests minds. Slate, his first mentioned priest, had his skin transformed into a stone-like hide, his memory stolen, and his mind broken. He lives deep in the Black Spine Mountains, and is on friendly terms with the gith, believing them to be elemental earth spirits. Gurdek doesn't seem to mind. Slate has made a few more initiate priests of Gurdek by charming them, and though their skin and memories remain intact, their minds are similarly broken. He in essence creates dual class priests. To those that fail (Wis < 16), the minds are broken beyond repair, and the character is driven completely insane,

Shiil "Clearshade" (Chaotic Neutral Air Lord)

Shiil appears in one of two different forms. One of them is like a semi-transparent leave flying above in the sky, giving shade to the helpless and acting like a lens to her enemies (that is rare, however). The other form is that of a young, beautiful (sometimes winged) lady with pale, somehow gray skin and dressed in a white tunic, seeming helpless, to test her "chosen ones".
Nobody knows what is the goal of Shiil, but many people have got her shade when they needed it, and have lived to tell stories of the beautiful shadow-lady...
It's believed that Shiil is no more than a lost spirit, but she is, in fact, capable of granting spells, although she doesn't have many followers (She prefers to be alone, she is a nostalgic spirit).

Xotar (Lawful Evil Silt Lord)

Author: Magus Zeroc
Weak in his hold of the inner planes, but powerful on Athas, Xotar seeks to strengthen his holding. Since most of his power is derived from Athas, Xotar seeks to expand the Silt Sea to the point where the entire planet is covered. With such a strong foothold on Athas, Xotar will have enough power to challenge his enemies, especially the water elemental lords.
He grants spells to the gullible; only an idiot Athasian would worship the silt elemental. Xotar promises power for his followers, claiming that the vastness of the Silt Sea is a symbol of his true power. And with their help he can gain a stronger hold on Athas. Loyalty and progress are well rewarded with magical items tied to the silt elemental.
The preservers and water clerics directly oppose his plans; Xotar's clerics must destroy them whenever possible. Defilers, however, should be encouraged to continue their dark practices, for the destruction of fertile landscape steadily helps the growth of the silt sea. Often clerics will leave druids alone, unless their presence hampers the plans of Xotar. Xotar allows his clerics to control undead, especially those that drowned in silt.
In circumstances when a particular cleric is important to his plans, or has demonstrated great loyalty and progress in his plans, Xotar may intervene on his behalf whenever he is in danger. However, if that same cleric manages to get in trouble too many times, he's as good as dead. For example, one of his clerics, a powerful cleric, is knocked overboard from a silt skimmer (accidentally), Xotar will grant that cleric free action and silt breathing in order to survive. Afterward, Xotar expects the cleric to work twice as hard as before. It is not uncommon for Xotar's clerics to also be defilers.
