#1zombiegleemaxDec 23, 2004 12:06:55 | Hmm....... Things have become muddled. in second edition it was assumed that athas had deities at one time. Then Rajaat killed them. There was numerous mention of them. Athas had the standard cosmology, then Rajaat closed the Sphere.Making spelljammer travel impossiable, this is assumed to be how he destroyed the deities. Kalad-ma and his city ended up in Ravenloft. In the new cosmology that I keep finding, this wouldn't be possiable. Yet there he is in my domain of dread box set, and in the new Gazetter for Ravenloft, he and city are still a island of terror. Hmm something no maka the sense. The other question I have is how many champions were there, I seem to be finding conflicting reports. What race did they wipe-out? or try to in some cases. |

Rajaat also didn't kill any deities. Just curious, what source are you getting this info from? Kalad-ma and his city ended up in Ravenloft. In the new cosmology that I keep finding, this wouldn't be possiable. Yet there he is in my domain of dread box set Depends what you consider cannon or want for your campaign. There is no offical mention in a DS product that Kalid-Ma was taken into Ravenloft. how many champions were there, I seem to be finding conflicting reports. There 15 Champions and one replacement. Some speculate more. Depends on what day you ask Troy Denning this question I guess. |

#4SysaneDec 23, 2004 13:44:53 | City state of Tyr mentions temples to the deities. The book Verdant Passege talks about the temples, the wanderers journel mentions the forgotten gods, and temples.and numerous other little tidbits of info here and there, also in spelljammers guide to the Spheres sunspace(the sphere that athas resides in) is listed as closed to both ships and the native pantheon, closed by Rajaat.( don't remember the date though. Yes, I remember that, but they weren't temples to real gods. As for Spelljammer, that is not DS canon. Domans of dread page 99-100 describes both the city and it's darklord Kalid-ma, along with his curse, and the sea of silt, it is a closed domain. Yeah, as I said. There is no DS material that backs this up. Thats all Ravenloft's take on it. Its like the Lord Soth Dragonlance controversy. One states he was in Ravenloft, the other states he wasn't. Who all are considered champions? Offically Known Champions are as follows: Sacha of Arala Curse of the Kobolds Kalak Ogre Doom Dregoth Ravager of Giants Myron Troll Scorcher Hamanu Troll Scorcher Uyness of Waverly Orc Plague now Abalach-Re Gallard Bane of Gnomes now Nibenay Sielba Destroyer of Pterrans Albeorn Slayer of Elves now Andropinis Tectuktitlay Wemic Annihilator Keltis Lizard Man Executioner now Oronis Lalai-Puy Aarakocra Scourge Wyan Pixie Blight Borys of Ebe Butcher of Dwarves Daskinor Goblin Death Kalid-Ma Tari Killer |
