The Advenure begins with the pc's at 5th-7th level and in the northwestern part of the core in one of the cl9 domains. The big bad is going to be an outworld ancient dead Yuan-ti abomination cleric. His goal is to revive his race in Ravenloft. Useing a combination of clerical magic and alchemy he has started a cult in the name of his evil snake god. He has transfored several people into Tainted ones (tainted one is a template from monsters of faerun that turns humans into proto yuan-ti). I'm still sketching out details on the adventue and would like feedback from my fellow ravenloft fans. Thanks everyone Kelsall |

(2) The villians (at least those of the outer layers of the onion) can pretty much pass as ordinary humans - just like everyone else. Add in the fact that once allies may become adversaries you have a very good way to introduce elements of insecurity & uncertainty (who are the bad guys?) and slowly ratchet it up toward paranoia (are there any good guys left?). (3) The theme of corruption of the innocents fits very well into RL. If the Yuan-Ti are preying on people who have somehow given in to some temptation thats something of a thematic bonus. On the other hand the corruption of the pure can be made even more horrific. (4) You can move this line of adventure around through several areas or even domains exposing the PCs to interesting NPCs and planting later hooks for the campaign. You also have the option of bringing "stange bedfellow" coalitions to the PCs. Many of the (not good) power structures would have a strong motivation to oppose the Yuan-ti threat. Imagine having to work with a group of Talons in Falkovnia or even Ivan himself in Borca (see also #2 again). Hope it works out well for you! -Eric Gorman |

If someone were to ressurect me - or summon me to Ravenloft after I'd died elsewhere - I'd be pretty upset. Hell bent on killing the person who did it upset. |
