Some of us may have used the same characters from the novels...and some may have used our own characters from our own campaigns. So go ahead, post your own notes and 'minutes' of your own campaigns, including The SetUp how you set things up for your WAR OF THE LANCE CAMPAIGN Dragons of Autumn Twilight- How did it work in your campaign. Dragons of WinterNight How did your version work? Dragons of Spring Dawning- Again, how did yours work. Chime in all whom have taken the War of the Lance or DM'd a war of the lance. |

I kept the major non-party NPC's the same, and created stat blocks for them, and ran it directly out of the novel. We got through Dragons of Autum Twilight pretty good, but then one of them took an internship, and that ultimately killed the scheduling. It was an interesting proof of concept, and I was really surprised with how smoothly it went. Although at one point one of Tanis' introspective interludes ended up leaving me hanging. It seems like something that shouldn't work without a lot of meta-gaming, but in practice it goes pretty easy. |
