#1zombiegleemaxJan 05, 2005 16:48:50 | I'm either blind or it's not there, and searching for it hasn't helped, but where on Oerth is the town of Oakhurst in the adventure book The Standing Stone? I when I ask that, I don't mean to give me just one or two nearby cities for a reference, if you can give me the forest it's near or a moutain range. If it's not an actual city, that's fine too, just making sure it's not before I set it somewhere. |
#2YeomanJan 05, 2005 16:53:36 | IIRC the town of Oakhurst, and the Standing Stone module are not specifically set in Greyhawk, although the series could easily be slotted into the Flanness. Several areas lend themselves to the setting - Keoland, Veluna, Ulek etc. |
#3cwslyclghJan 05, 2005 19:03:07 | although it is pretty generic (and the only mention of greyhawk related material in it is one of the adventure hooks which mentions that a local noble is worried that elves are going to start deporting humans "just like in the Lendore Islands") I would think that any woodland near an elven realm would be a good choice. If I were to run it, I would place Ossington (I believe Oakhurst was froim one of the earlier modules) in one of the following three locations... The Welkwood The Axewood or the south-eastern Vesve (near the Furyondy border). |
