#1zombiegleemaxJan 26, 2005 1:37:25 | I was thinking of attempting to run a mass Planescape PBMB (Play By Messageboard) world but I'm not sure how I'd go about it. Any ideas? I'd like to make it so that there would be multiple DMs running various adventures. And their adventures could cross with other's adventures. I'd like cities, such as Sigil, to be run on a large scale. Perhapse have DMs who would specifically run the city full-time. What would be most convenient would be the ability to have sub-sub areas in a forum. Like to be able to open up a forum (on a particular plane) and open up a bunch of sub-threads (representing various areas within that plane) but to be able to control who enters the planes representing portal keys, etc. Trying to work out all the fine details...any ideas/thoughts? |

And I suspect web boards aren't cheap to maintain on the scale you're talking... On a more helpful note: There are the Planewalker Web boards, which have an RP section. Not quite what you're talking about, but it's something. Link: http://www.planewalker.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=7&sid=169ff41d518f611f2448070812d9c72c I wish you every strangest kind of luck. |

And I don't have quick enough eyes to read MUD text. Although I'd play it anyway if they DID make one. I don't expect anyone to make any MMORPG version of the Multiverse anytime soon tho. |
