#1brimstoneJan 31, 2005 4:23:08 | Okay...stick with me here on these... First up...how are you all handling Sunblight? Either I'm not following it properly, or it's just not written very well (most likely the former). The erratum on www.dragonlance.com isn't any clearer to me, either. Second...a lot of encounters say "Give XP as if an EL 6 encounter." I thought you give XP per CR of the monster. I guess I just need to back calculate the XP needed for that, right? Third...how are you all handling treasure? Are you going strictly by what's in the Appendix for each monster write up? (at first glance, that all seemed pretty sparse) And, just generically...a bag of holding, at what level would you consider throwing in a bag of holding for the PCs to possibly find? Normally I wouldn't even think about that...but one of the players had a really neat idea for his character that I liked a lot and I'm just trying to figure out a way to possibly make it work. Of course...they'd have to find it first. Maybe a vampiric kender has one. ;) Thanks! |

#3NivedJan 31, 2005 11:08:35 | The only time I rolled max on a handful of d4s (I think it was three for sunblight...) was when I was rolling for incubation period. 3d4 weeks... So my the elf still has some time... |
#4talinthasJan 31, 2005 12:54:34 | when i got to the sunblight part, i had just obtained the bestiary, so i turned the whole thing into a disease caused by disir as part of morgions retribution for elves camping in his temple. The sewers lead deeper into caverns where my players ran into a crazy Alien style dungeon filled with horror and stuff. it was fun =) |

(at first glance, that all seemed pretty sparse) I don't mind that the treasure is a little sparse. After all, if everything goes as the module intends, the party will end up with 2-3 artifacts. As far a bag of holding you could add one in the wizards shop at Ak-Khurman and have either the kender pick it up or the rogue pinch it. Or perhaps you could run an important errand for her and get a reduced price on it. |

I gave my party some items in Port Balifor, including a bag of holding, a few minor magic weapons, and a dragon orb. They were in a Thorn knight compound, which blew up at the end once the heroes set the gnome powderkegs alight. Cheers, Cam |
#7brimstoneMar 02, 2005 11:19:00 | Okay...I just want to make sure I'm doing this right. If the Constitution damage is 1d3 permanent damage (never heal naturally and apparently takes a 9th level spell to heal) how could one ever take 5 points of Con damage to permanently inflict the poor sap with Sun Sensitivity? I guess my question is...it is very unclear as to what the correlation is between Sunblight, Light Blindness, Sun Sensitivity, and Sun Poisoning. Can I get a flow chart or something? |
