#1zombiegleemaxFeb 04, 2005 0:32:30 | I'm trying to think of a follow-up adventure taking place in Raam. For some background: ran a modified black flames. Some notable events: the water cleric activated the black waters scroll, purifying yaramuke's water, but also attracted the attentin of shadow giants that made him a shadow mage. Further he began having dreams and visions of a "rain spirit" (wink wink) that keeps telling him how the primary elements have forsaken athas but the element of rain has a plan to bring about a rebirth and he (the water cleric) has been chosen to help facilitate this spirit's plan. An assassin/spy working for Abalache-Re (he took the place of the t'chowb Skindii) also managed to get his hands on a portion of the scroll and also became a shadow mage; he was also physically scarred and lost an eye and blames the party. An npc on his way to Nibenay is on his way to Raam (part of his journey) and also had a spell cast on his that created defiler runes all over his body that act as a ring of regeneration. Abalache-Re and Farcluun were apparently killed when sielba's palace collapsed. In actuality, as a result of the time magic Farcluun was using, they were trapped in two different time bubbles. Farcluun's bursts first, and he comes out with the ability to empower templars (he snagged sielba's living vortex). He knows Abalache-Re will follow eventually, which she does. In the meantime, her apparent death has plunged Raam into chaos and civil war (being trapped in time she couldn't grant spells to her templars, reenforcing the idea she was dead). So here's the situation. I want to run some adventures in Raam and I'm fishing for ideas. Main parts are Farcluun making a grab for power (primarily with the elves; I have it that farcluun is a half-elf), Abalache-Re making a return at some point (and scaring off Farcluun), the templars, merchants and nobles all on their own side, freeman and slaves causing trouble, the assassin making trouble for the players, the veiled alliance trying to help where they can, and some sort of hook with the defiler runes and the fact that yaramuke is nominally inhabitable now. I just don't have any structure or plan. Ultimately Farcluun will leave and take a sizeable number of elves with him, heading off elsewhere in a huge migration. The city will remain in chaos even after Abalache-Re returns and will effectively stop functioning. This will later lead to her undertaking the ceremony in Forest Maker (using stuff looted frm sielba's palace) and then returning to the city and whipping it into shape. Beyond that, everything's open. Ideas? nic |
